CAS Christmas card with Stella

So my thing this year for Christmas cards seems to be CAS and white. A lot of white and a bit of glitter. For this card I’ve used an adorable image, called Winter Stella, from Make it Crafty which my sister so kindly handcut for me. A small white border has been left around the image as I thought it looked nicer that way, apart from around her feet. That is because I wanted to draw the shadow on the card base itself and not have it as a part of the coloured image.

The sentiment means “Christmas greeting from us to you” and is by Norsk Stempelblad.

Letters to the North Pole, take two.

I was asked to make a card with, Letters to the North Pole, by Paper Nests Dolls. A Hochanda exclusive with sentiment for showing on TV. The program will be on today. I made two, though. Just to show that you can make two matching cards where one is plain and other fancier using the same stamp, sentiment, and even colours.

I’ve used papers from Noor Design and kept this card simple. I quite like plain, simple, Christmas cards.

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, R20 (hair) E42, E43, E44, E47 (blues) B91, B93, B95, B97, B99 (reds) R22, R24, R29, R89 (greys) W1, W3, W5 (penguin) C3, C7, 100, (snow) B000, C1, C3

Letters to the North Pole

Two months until Christmas. Today. We celebrate on the 24th in Norway. I bet that will go just as fast as the rest of the year has and it will be Christmas in no time at all. Thankfully I’ve already started making Christmas cards this year!

On this card I am showcasing a Hochanda exclusive stamp with sentiment by Paper Nests Dolls, called Letters to the North Pole. The program will be on the 27th this month. My card is going to be on TV, woo! I’ve made two cards using this cute stamp and I will add the other card here on the blog on the 27th. They have been made to match each other.

I’ve used papers from Noor Design, Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and ribbon. I’ve painted the edges with acrylic paint to give the card an even colder feeling, and distressed the edges on the white paper first so the paint would be more visible.

Here you can see the layers better:

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, (hair) E41, E42, E43, E44, (blues) B91, B93, B95, B97, (greens) G40, G84, G94, (greys) C1, C3, C5, (penguin) C3, C7, 100, (snow) B000, C1

Grandma’s lilies

Tiddly Inks has recently released a bunch of new digital stamps, some of them flowers. Today I am showing you the one called Grandma’s Lilies. As always the image has been coloured in with Copics.

The butterfly die is from Precious Marieke, which I cut out in white and then proceeded to colour in V09 to match the darkest part of the flower. The sentiment and one of the papers is by Lili of the Valley, the ribbon by Søstrene Grene and the lace from Live and Love Crafts. I used XL dies from GoCreate to make the shape of the card and some white acrylic paint and frantage to give a more weathered look.

Witch Way

So I had this crazy idea.

Copic Marker Norge decided to do a Halloween themed inspirational post. I couldn’t really think of anything to make for it and almost gave up. Then I went onto Etsy and browsed for Halloween Digital Stamps. After a bit of scrolling I found an image by Molly Harrison Art, called Witch Way, that I decided I could try. I then proceeded to print it in 12cm x 12cm and slowly started colouring the entire card! Trust me to do this the day before the deadline when I had never coloured the image, or something of that size before…

I coloured it all with Copics and drew in the moon, sky and tree as I went along. The squiggly lines in the sky are for some reason a lot more prominent in the photo than on the actual card. Oh well.. can’t win them all…

Anyway. I think it turned out alright. Perhaps there will be more colour only cards in the future…

Let’s have another photo, too, because… why not?!
