Zombie girl

As I was sat pondering what to use to make a card for a friend, I came across the perfect image! A zombie girl from Saturated Canary. Krista Smith is incredibly talented and her images are adorable! It helped making the card super easy.

The card had to have a dramatic and darker look than I am used to, so I started out by distressing a card blank in deep reds, picked out some plain black paper as well as a Tim Holtz background paper. Additionally I found this a great time to use my black lace ribbon! The digital image was printed and coloured with copics. I then distressed the entire image with pale grey to lose the edge of the white background. A square frame for it was completely out of the question, as a wonky one would suit the purpose much better! The roses and carnations are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I decorated the empty corners with black pearls. It was a fun card to make as it is so far from what I’ve made previously!
