Star Dancer

A new challenge up on Copic Marker Norge for this month, with the theme of Anything Goes.

I have coloured up an image by Aurora Wings, it’s called Star Dancer and is full of little fiddly things to colour. It was quite fun, actually! I used my trusted copics for this and added some distress ink around the edge and some frantage. Oh, and of course, a touch of glitter to a couple of parts of the outfit.

The flowers are mostly from Wild Orchid Crafts. I’ve got some bits and bobs from the now sadly closed down Live and Love Crafts. Various dies from Memory Box, Noor Design and QuicKutz.

Another photo won’t hurt.

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, (hair) E08, E18, E19, E49, E97, (outfit) G40, G82, G94, G99, YG03 and a white pen.

Baby girl in buggy

I seem to very rarely get to make baby cards for baby girl; it’s always boys, boys and more boys. Then suddenly I got asked to do two almost at the same time. As with the other card I’ve chosen to hide the name of the baby.

The image I’ve used on this is by Wee Stamps. Isn’t it cute? I’m quite happy with the shading on it and tried to keep it soft and simple. I made a border around the image using flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, some cheese close and punched out some leaves and butterflies with Martha Stewart punchers.

Here is another photo of the card laying down

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, (hair) E53, E55, E57, E59, (buggy) RV00, R81, R83, R85, R89, W0, W1, W3, W5, W7, 100, (bird) B000, B81, Y00, Y04, Y17

Baby girl

I was asked to make a card for a christening. I’d previously made one for this lady so wanted to make this one similar. To the right here you can see the boy card I made previous that this one is made to match.

The image I’ve chosen is by Mo’s Digital Pencil and is coloured in with copics. Flowers are by Wild Orchid Crafts and Live and Love Crafts, and the lace is from LLC as well. I am pleased with how the cards are reasonably similar, but yet a little bit different. I’ve deliberately hidden the name as I don’t like names of people showing on my cards in case they don’t want it displayed.

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, R20, (hair) E51, E53, E55, E57, (dress) C1, C3, C5, RV00, R81, R83

Owl you

Guess what I did at the weekend! I finally took the first two out of the series to become a copic colouring master. The course was held at Bikuben with Elizabeth as our fantastic instructor. It was fun to get some new tips and see some of her colouring in person. She’s great, really! Cannot wait for the next two courses in May where there more advanced techniques that I know little to nothing about.

Today we have a new challenge over at the Copic Marker Norge blog. This time we’re playing bingo! If you count the flowers and feathers on the image itself then I’ve covered all the squares of the bingo card giving me a full house. Yey!

The papers I’ve used are Pion, the sentiment Lili of the Valley, the image (which is obviously coloured with copics) is by Ching-Chou Kuik. I am so happy with how that turned out. One of my favourites, actually, I think. Not often I am this happy with an image the first time I colour it! Oh, the cute little butterflies are from Noor Design.

Copics used are: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, R20, R22, (hair) E53, E555, E57, (flowers) R81, R85, RV17, R89, G82, G99, YG03, (owl) W2, W3, W5, E55, E57, (background) B0000, B000, B00, B02

Winter reindeer

It has now been a full year since I got the honour of joining the Copic Marker Norge design team. Time does fly when you’re having fun and I feel it’s a great experience being on this team with such great talent! It’s always inspiring to see what these wonderful ladies come up with!

The card I’m showing today is using an image from Tiddly Inks, which I have coloured in with copics. The snowflakes are by Panduaro and the lace is from Live and Love Crafts. Lastly I’ve added a dash of frantage over the distressed edges to give a bit more of a winter feel.

Here is another photo of the card:
