24. Merry Christmas, everyone!

Merry Christmas everybody! We celebrate here in Norway today, on the 24th of December. After a while of mandatory Christmas programs on the TV we’ll get dressed and head to my parents for Christmas dinner. Yum! Can’t wait!

Today’s post features as a windy Mo Manning image! I’ve decided to keep the card looking cold, but keeping the colours on the image as well. I’ve used Maja Design, Bazzill, Søstrene Grene and Papirdesign paper along with the obligatory dash of acrylic paint! I do love that effect very much! I’ve made a few snowflakes with a Memory Box die, added some Craftworks Cards’ card candi, cheese cloth, twine and Kort og Godt charm. The sentiment is part of the Maja Design papers.

The image has been coloured with Copics, as always. I’ve added some windy white bits over it using embossing and I quite like the effect of it!

Here is a view of the bottom left side of the card so you can easier see some of the details with the charm and how the acrylic paint and embossed snow work on the image.

And the obligatory funky view!

23. CAS card with Magnolia

It has happened. Not only did I colour up a Magnolia image this month, but I did it twice! As some of you know, I haven’t exactly been eager to colour up any of these, but now that I have I realise it didn’t end up as the complete disaster I had imagined! That is good, right?!

I decided to keep this card very simple. I used some gorgeous Maja Design papers and some glitter paper from Søstrene Grene. Last week my order of chipboard from Make it Crafty finally arrived so I was able to put them on a card for this Christmas. I coloured the word christmas up with the same greens that I used on the girl’s jacket and I think the text looks fantastic! I’m so glad I bought some!

As usual the image was coloured up with Copics and you can find the list of colours below. I cut the image out by freehand and then I drew on the ground around her feet straight onto the card blank as I really quite like how that looks!

Here is a close-up of the girl.

22. Santa’s Helpers as a CAS card.

Oh my. Where has the week gone?! Thankfully I am now all done with my crafting before the holidays, but I have some cookies left to make and some presents left to buy so I have managed to save something for last minute this year, too, haha!

I have used Maja Design paper and an adorable Tiddly Inks image, Santa’s Helpers. As I’ve had such few green Christmas cards today, then that was the obvious choice. I’ve made a red glittery embossed greeting with a Norsk Stempelblad stamp.

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E21, (hair) E31, E34, E41, (greys) W2, W3, W5, W7, W9, (greens) YG61, YG63, YG67, YG99, (fur) C1, C3, (red) R22, R24, R27, R59, (yellow) Y19, YR16, E08

21. Girl with tiny snowman on a lollipop card

So there has been one thing missing for the most of this month. Something that usually appears quite often on my blog during December. Blue Christmas cards! Let’s try to make up for that a little by having a blue lollipop card!

I had a lot of fun making the lollipop card I showed off earlier this month. So much that I’ve made some more to use as Christmas cards for some of my co-workers! For this one I used a totally adorable stamp from C.C. Designs and a whole bunch of Maja Design papers. I even used two of the sentiments that come on the bottom of these papers!

With a dash of acrylic paint, distress ink and frantage, with a snowflake die, cheese cloth and some card candi, it was all good to go!

Here is how the back of it looks. I made the Christmas greeting on the computer and cut it out after.

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E21, (hair) E08, E18, E19, E97, (blues) B000, B91, B93, B95, B97, B99, (brown) E71, E74, E77, E79

20. Magnolia, first time ever

Some of you know that I have not been a fan of Magnolia. I mean, I think they’re super cute and all, but I’ve never felt like colouring one up.

Until now.

I decided to surprise my fellow DT (and some of its followers) on Copic Marker Norge for the last of my days for our Christmas/Advent calendar this year by finally buying a stamp and colouring it up. I can tell you it took quite a while to pick it out at the shop! Here you can see the card I made with it. And what’s worse? It didn’t go horribly wrong, so I may own more than one of these in the future! We shall see! For now I am happy with the one!

I have kept the card reasonably simple, just layered up a lot of various papers. Most of the papers are by Maja Design. I simply LOVE this collection. It suits me perfectly and they are just exactly how I want them for my Christmas cards! The acrylic paint is a trusted friend for my Christmas cards, as is the twine and charm. I love this tree! It is from Kort og Godt. The jul stamp is by Norsk Stempelblad. I’ve also used some card candi by Craftwork Cards. There’s a fair bit of distress ink added to the image along with frantage for a cold winter effect. Here is a view from the side.

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E21, R20, (hair) E25, E27, E29, E34, E41, (red) R22, R24, R27, R59, (green) YG61, YG63, YG67, G99, (grey) W1, W2, W3, (jacket) E71, E74, E77, E79, (ground effect) W0, W1, W2, W3, W5, W7
