It’s a boy

I’ve made a baby card using my favourite colours and some of my favourite supplies. Once again it is a tall card without any real colouring. The papers are Bazzil and Maja Design, the chipboard is SnipArt (frame) and Make it Crafty (boy) which I coloured up with some turquoise Copic Marker pens. The flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts and Live and Love Crafts. The lace is also from there and I really wish I knew where I can find more of it!

A tall card with the number in focus

No colouring today. I’ve made a card for someone at work. I used a couple of different Maja Design papers along with some chipboard for decorations. A bit of lace and a ribbon together with some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Live and Love Crafts.

James Bear with Christmas cracker

It’s been a lot of clean and simple Christmas cards this year, and by a lot I mean that most of them have been CAS! So, I decided it was time for something different and proper traditional colours. It is my turn to show off something in the Christmas Calendar over at Copic Marker Norge today, and this is what I decided to make. It is perfectly reasonable to decided to make something with loads of layers that takes longer than CAS does when you have hardly any time at all, right?

Anyway, I used this adorable stamp from Lili of the Valley. I have a feeling I’ll colour it up again before Christmas, if I can only decide on which colour to use for it! I combined it with lace I got from Live and Love Crafts, Papirdesign paper and sentiment. Then I used some acrylic paint around the edges of the layers and some twine along with a gingerbread charm. And it’s obviously coloured up with Copics as usual. You can find the colours listed at the bottom of this post.

Here is a photo from the side you can see how the card is stood on a surface.

And another photo of the card laying down.

Copics used: (bear) E41, E42, E43, E44, (white) W0, W1, W3, W5, (yellow) Y11, Y13, Y19, Y38, (red) R22, R24, R29, R39, R89

A fun wedding card

I’ve popped by the Copic Marker Norge blog today with a wedding card, so I figured I should add it to my own blog as well, so I don’t forget! I’ve used various Maja Design papers, and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts primarily. The lace and pearl string and berry flowers are all from a shop that is now closed down. And the stamp? That is by Mo’s Digital Pencil.

Here is a close-up of the colouring.

Copics used: W0, W1, W3, W5, W7, W9, BV23, BV25, BV29, RV52, RV55, E55, E57, E59, C1, C3, C5

LLLC: Mother’s Day

Friday is now my new designated La-La Land Crafts day. The theme of the week is Mother’s Day. Here we had our Mother’s Day back in February.

I’ve once again coloured up one of their stamps with the no-lines technique. For some reason I seem to prefer colouring their stamps that way. Who knew I’d ever warm up to that feeling! It’s a cool challenge, though, and I’m getting more and more confident with it. I added a little bit of texture to her skirt so it has a bit of a denim feel to it. You can find a link to the stamp and the list of colours below.

I’ve used some Maja Design paper to go with the background stamp from LLLC which I did in a matching purple ink. Isn’t it pretty?! I absolutely love it! The various dies are listed at the bottom of the post. The butterflies are just so pretty and I love that heart die! As I didn’t really have a fitting sentiment I could emboss onto the dark blue background, I simply just wrote it myself! That works, too, right?! The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Live and Love Crafts.
