Happy Christmas penguin

Another simple Christmas card with a little penguin. This time the penguin is from MFT Stamps and I’ve coloured it up with Copic. I did a funky cut of a paper by Panduro and glued some big snowflakes on top of it. A chipboard sentiment with a printed sentiment (because I have somehow managed to misplace my heating gun…) as well as some sequins finished off the card.

19. Girl eating gingerbread

I have had fun trying out some new stamp brands this December, as well as revisiting some old ones I haven’t used in quite a while! On this post I’m showing off a card I made for a secret santa swap using something I’ve never tried before, a C. C. Designs stamp! This adorable little girl has just taken a bite out of her gingerbread! Love it!

It’s been coloured up with copics, but I bet you knew that already. I’ve used various papers from Bazzill, Papirdesign, Panduro, Maja Design and Søstrene Grene. There is a bit of cheese cloth, Craftwork Cards’ card candi, acrylic paint, twine and a Kort og Godt charm. The main shape of the card is made with a Go Kreate XXL die and the snowflakes are made with a Memory Box die. I kept the card reasonably simple without a lot of embellishments, just loads of papers! Oh and the sentiment is from a Norsk Stempelblad stamp.

And here is the usual funky angle photo!

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E21, R20 (hair) E71, E74, E77, E79, (outfit) R22, R24, R27, R59, E41, E42, E43, E44, E47, C1, C3

14. Elf and glitter

Another day, another Christmas card. I am quite pleased I have managed two weeks straight now with posting new things. It feels quite nice getting caught up with the posts at the end of the year now! Today I have another clean and simple Christmas card.

This one features an elf from Make it Crafty which I have coloured up with Copics. I’ve cut it all out by hand and then afterwards drawn on the ground under his feet straight onto the card base. I’ve cut out some triangles to use as trees on glitter paper from Søstrene Grene, and used a background paper from Studio Light. The sentiment stamp is from Panduro.

Aaaand another photo!

Copics used: (hat and jacket) W1, W3, R22, R27, R59, Y13, Y19, Y38, (shoes) E43, E44, E47, C7, 100, (jumper and trousers) YG01, YG03, YG63, YG67, (hair) E25, E31, E34, E44, (skin) E000, E00, E11

10. Baby playing with the Christmas tree

Two weeks until Christmas and I have a very clean and simple Christmas card for you today. It features a totally adorable image I got at Make it Crafty and a text stamp from Panduro. To make the coloured layer stand out a bit more I’ve used foam tape. I think this was the best way to make the colouring stand out as the primary part of the card.

Copics used: (tree) YG03, YG67, G99, E43, E47, (decorations and pot) Y13, Y19, Y38, YR18, R22, R27, R59, E18, (boy) E000, E00, E11, W1, W3, W5, B32, B34, B37

6. A winter card, and a sticky marker cover up

The first week of December has almost passed already. That went fast, didn’t it?! Today I have a cold, blue winter card to show you. It holds my very first no-lines colouring of a full image! (The few strands on hair I did previously hardly counts!) The lovely image is by Tiddly Inks and is called Key to my Heart. Not really a Christmas image, I know, but the dress is so pretty I wanted to make it work!

Unfortunately it nearly went very wrong! My B95 was misbehaving as I hadn’t realised it was nearly empty and when most of the image is done you don’t want to start over. So to avoid disappointment and possibly not doing another no-lines image for a while, I decided to try to save it.

And so I did. With dots. A lot of dots!

You can’t even see the sticky patch anymore!

The papers are from various places. If I recall correctly it is primarily Papirdesign, LemonCraft and Studio Light. The gorgeous snowflakes are made with a Memory Box die that appeared in my mail a couple of weeks ago from my lovely Secret Santa Sue of Tanglemouse Cards. Lucky me! It’s perfect!

I’ve also used some distress ink, frantage, twine, cheesecloth and a Panduro text stamp. The main shape of the card is made with GoKreate dies.

Do you want to see what it looked like before I decided to try to save it? Of course you do, so here it is! Very shiny and horrible right? I think it turned out pretty good in the end, though, and all I did was add loads of little dots with the various colours I had used on the dress, as well a white pen! Try it! It is far better than having to bin your colouring!

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E11, E21, (hair) E41, E42, E43, (dress) B91, B93, B95, B97, B99, (belt) C5, C7, C9, (key) Y13, Y17, YR15
