Star Dancer

A new challenge up on Copic Marker Norge for this month, with the theme of Anything Goes.

I have coloured up an image by Aurora Wings, it’s called Star Dancer and is full of little fiddly things to colour. It was quite fun, actually! I used my trusted copics for this and added some distress ink around the edge and some frantage. Oh, and of course, a touch of glitter to a couple of parts of the outfit.

The flowers are mostly from Wild Orchid Crafts. I’ve got some bits and bobs from the now sadly closed down Live and Love Crafts. Various dies from Memory Box, Noor Design and QuicKutz.

Another photo won’t hurt.

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, (hair) E08, E18, E19, E49, E97, (outfit) G40, G82, G94, G99, YG03 and a white pen.

Flowers for tea

Yet another card I made last year using a pre-coloured image. Both of the images used here are from Lili of the Valley. The edges of the image got distressed and frantaged. I had fun making a different card design for this one and added a ribbon so it could be tied together. The colour combination is also one I haven’t used much if I have at all. I think the peach and aqua actually worked, though. For the embellishments I used mostly Noor Design dies with a spellbinder one for the circle and a Martha Stewart puncher. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts as usual.

Jackie’s birthday blog hop!

So, as you may already know, it was Jackie’s birthday yesterday and we’re doing a blog hop! This is the second day out of three which we secretly organised for our DT leader Jackie. SURPRISE!! Hehehe

Happy birthday Jackie! I hope yesterday was a wonderful celebration for you!

birthdaybloghop

Comment on every stop (including the Art by Mi Ran blog) of the hop for your chance to win 5 Art by Mi Ran digital images!

Each blog hop day will have 2 winners. so there are lots of chances to win! Winners will be chosen randomly. You have until July 23rd to comment, and all winners will be announced on the 25th at the Art by Mi Ran blog.

This should be your first step in the blog hop, after the intro on the Art by Mi Ran blog.

For the hop, all team members created a birthday card for Jackie. As usual I am one of the last ones to make my card, so I tried to choose an image no one else had used, which is quite hard when so many have made their cards already! I used Mi Ran’s Lady Penelope for my card.

The hair was lots of fun to colour and I am so pleased how it turned out! I’ve coloured it all in with copics and used liquid pearls for the dotted effect around the image. I’ve used lace by Live and Love Crafts as well as May Arts. The dies are Noor Design and the flowers are by Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment I made myself.

Peaches and greens

Aren’t weddings wonderful? I think so. So here is a wedding card!

This one is made with Pion Papers and an image by Wild Rose Studio, a pre-coloured one. I have made butterflies and leaves with Martha Stewart punchers. The ribbon and big pearls are from The Hobby House and the smallers ones for the body of the butterflies are purchased at Bikuben. Additionally I have (of course) used flowers by Wild Orchid Crafts.
