Aurora Wings angel

Do you remember that I used Young Angel by Aurora Wings not so long ago? Well, I had another request for a card using that stamp and that is what I’m going to show you today. This card request was also quite specific with orange being the main colour and using loads of embellishments.

Orange.

When someone asks me to do orange I’m stuck. I’m not a particular fan of the colour and I very rarely use it. But there I was with orange as the main colour, staring at my markers, determined to find a combination I could be happy with.

And I did.

I am so happy with this orange combination. Like… so happy that I might use orange again… for fun!! Yes, that surprised me as well. Now I’m glad I accepted this challenge.

I’ve used papers by Pion Design and MFT Stamps as well as dies from Joy Craft, Precious Marieke, La-La Land Crafts and a puncher by Martha Stewart. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and The Hobby House.

Copics used: (skin) E00, E02, E13, E15, (hair) E31, E35, E37, E29, (green) YG13, YG17, YG67, (wings) N0, N1, N3, (orange) YR04, YR07, YR21, YR23

8. Friendship

Another colouringless card today for day eight. The main focal point of the card is a text stamp from Papirdesign that I was so lucky to win on Elin‘s blog. It is a lovely text about friendship.

I have used various papers, I think they may be Pion this time, to which I have added white acrylic paint. I really do love that effect. The lace I got at Live and Love Craft, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and The Hobby House and I have used dies from Memory Box and Precious Marieke.

Watery birthday celebrations

Copic Marker Norge is celebrating its 6 years this month! This is the card I have made for the birthday celebration challenge. Pop over and celebrate with us!

I have used an Art by Mi Ran design by Whimsy Stamps, Coventina, and went for my favourite colours, a mix of turquoise and blue! I’m not sure I’ve actually used this colour combination on a card previously, but I should definitely use it more.

The sentiment is my own, and the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Live and Love Crafts. The bottom layer of the background papers was originally more grey-teal shaded, but I went over it with blue distress ink to get the colour I wanted for the card. The same distress ink was used around the edge of the image and the sentiment. The papers are from Panduro and Papermania and I did all the edges with a tool I got at Panduro. The dragonflies are my newest dies and they are by Magnolia. Aren’t they darling? The lace is from Live and Love Crafts, the ribbon from The Hobby House and the cheese cloth I bought at Bikuben.

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, (hair) E25, E27, E34, E41, E59, (dress) BG01, BG05, BG09, BG78, (water) B000, B00, B02, B05 + white gel pen

The shy pot plant

It is time for a new challenge over at Tiddly Inks. This time it is an autumny colour collage you can use for inspiration. I’ve stuck with most of the colours, apart from maybe the orange. The stamp I decided to use for this is one of the stamps you get in the Shy Violet set. It’s been coloured in with Copics. You can find the list of colours below.

I’ve used a text sentiment from Lili of the Valley, and flowers from The Hobby House and Wild Orchid Crafts.

Copics used: (pot) E42, E43, E44, E47, E49, (table) W1, W3, W5, W7, (flower) R81, R83, R85, R89, (leaves) G40, G82, G94, G99

Kiss for the teddy bear

Time for another non-Christmas card. This is a step card made from a WhichCraft card blank and papers from Papermania. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Cafts, the punchers are Martha Stewart, the ribbon from The Hobby House, the lace from a local shop. I have made the sentiment myself and coloured in an Elisabeth Bell image found on the art pads you can buy at The Hobby Hose. I used Copics to colour it.
