Mummy with baby

Today is the first of December and I’m going to try to repeat what I did a couple of years ago by having one blog post each day! So far I have nothing scheduled and just a few cards made, but with the colouring challenge that just finished (and the previous one as well for that matter haha) I have quite a few images ready to go on cards! So I’ll try. We’ll see how it goes…

Today I’m showing a card I made with possibly my favourite Stamping Bella stamp. I’ve added little hearts to the dress, which was easier than I thought.

Copics used: (skin) E0000, E00, E02, E13, E15, (pink) RV63, RV66, RV69, (yellow) Y11, Y17, YR07, (hair) E41, E42, E43, E44

Power Poppy tulips

My mum loves tulips. So when she had her birthday this week I really wanted to make a card with tulips on. I found a beautiful stamp at Power Poppy and it suited me perfectly.

I wanted to keep the flowers completely in focus so I made a very simple card to go with it, where I made the sentiment myself.

Here is another photo as well

Copics used: (green) YG01, YG13, YG63, YG67, G99 (red) R22, R24, R27, R59, R89, (yellow) Y13, Y19, YR15, E08, (pink) RV17, RV52, RV55, RV66, (purple) V09, V12, V15, V17, (shadow) W0, W1, W3, W5, W7

My boyfriend’s mom’s birthday was coming up and he really liked a card I had made just a few days beforehand. You can see it on the right here. So I used that as inspiration and ended up getting a tad carried away with butterflies. I have made butterflies from a Tim Holtz die (the ones on top), stand alone butterflies from a Martha Stewart puncher and embedded butterflies on the side. The tiny butterflies that got cut out with the third die were also put on here and there around the card: some of them even on the flowers.

The main image is a pre-coloured one from Lili of the Valley.  I used a doily from Wild Orchid Crafts and put it mostly behind the image to break up the green a bit.  The two different patterned purple papers are by Papermania, whereas the green one is by First Edition Paper. I have used ribbon from a local shop and from Wild Orchid Crafts. The flowers are also all from WOC. Lastly I used a Martha Stewart puncher for the leaves and an alphabet set to create two of each letter (one green and one purple) to make them stand out more.

Mother’s Day in the UK

Mother’s day is coming up in the UK, so I made a card for my other half’s mum. We had our mother’s day here last month. Anyway, this card is for a lady who is quite fond of greens, so that was what I started out with. The pre-coloured image is from Lili of the Valley. The papers are from various pads I have had lying around for quite some time. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves are made with a Martha Stewart puncher.
