RAM paris in the rain

Have you ever been to Paris? It’s a lovely city! I was there nearly 18 years ago and feel I am definitely due another trip back there. The fun thing about today’s card is that the day we went to The Eiffel Tower it raining and we got there after sunset. We were lucky they even let us up that evening because of the weather. They were contemplating shutting it down because of the thunder in the distance. The view is wonderful, even in the rain.

Today it’s time for my second Rachelle Anne Miller project of the month and I used her Paris stamp for it. I decided to go with pastel colours and daylight for this, a complete contrast to my own rainy experience. The stamp is printed out in a no-line version and I used Copic markers to colour it up. I have about 1/4″ space around the image, which is on foam tape and then more foam tape for the sentiment. The sentiment means “greetings from me to you”. The Hello is a die cut from Altenew.

Copics used: E000, E00, E02, E13, E41, E42, E43, RV00, RV10, RV32, RV34, YR21, YR23, YR27, E37, T0, T1, T3, C00, C0, C1, C2, B0000, BG000, BV20, YG61, YG91

Paris

I spent last night and this morning watching the news. Unable to understand how someone is capable of such horrible actions. targeting innocent people just enjoying life at a restaurant, a football match, a concert. Previously at the beach, at work, on the train, at camp. The list is getting long. I am sad. It could happen anywhere, to anyone. It could have been my friends. It could have been me.

I wanted to practice my colouring today. I was staring at my copics, finding no motivation to start. Then I had an idea. I can practice colouring on anything. I went searching and I found the perfect image to practice on. It has the perfect name of.. Inking of You and is by Tiddly Inks. I got the Eiffel Tower at Make it Crafty.

Ajourd’hui nous sommes tous Français. Today we are all French. My thoughts are with the dead, the wounded, the witnesses, their families and friends, the people of France. Be strong.

Wedding in Paris

It’s wedding season, isn’t it? Here is the first of about a handful of cards I have made. I stumbled upon some lovely pre-coloured images by Wild Rose Studio. Aren’t they lovely?!

The paper I used is a lovely rose frame by Pion Design. The leaves and butterflies are made from a Martha Stewart puncher. I used pearls to give the butterflies bodies and also to decorate the top corners of the card and to frame the image. The ribbon is from one of the Christmas flowers from last year, I believe, and all the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
