Festival tomboy

I have had a few requests from ladies at work the past couple of months to make cards for them. A couple of them have even been to celebrate other ladies at work, like this one. They were quite specific that it was certainly not to be very girly. Dark colours were to prefer and not a lot of embellishments.

I chose one of the pre-coloured images I have laying about and showed it to a couple of co-workers and when they agreed it would work well, I carried on and built the card around it. The image is purchased at The Hobby House, as are the pearls and the ribbon. The purple and green paper is from Paper Cellar, and I don’t remember where the other is from. All the flowers are by Wild Orchid Crafts and the numbers have been made with an alphabet die set by QuicKutz.

Relaxing on the swing

I’ve just got back from a short holiday and realised I forgot to schedule any cards… Oh well, I’ll try to make up for it by posting a few in the latter part of the month instead. I have coloured in a few images recently and will soon be posting the cards made with those images. Hopefully I’ll have some time towards the end of the month to make cards with more of them as well, unless I end up just colouring more… Additionally, I’ve made some bookmarks which I will soon be showing off!

The card I’m posting today has paper by Papermania and Paper Cellar. The pre-coloured image is by The Hobby House and I used copic markers to give it a bright blue summery backgorund. All the flowers and ribbon are by Wild Orchid Crafts. Additionally, I’ve used punches by Martha Stewart.

Disco power

A week or two ago, I was sat looking at my craft stuff, unable to decide what to make. So, I asked my boyfriend to pick some colours, and he did… Purple, orange and green. Orange. I don’t like orange. I don’t know why, but I tend to do my best to avoid this colour when crafting. But, I decided to go all out and use a bright orange. In addition he gave me the theme of ‘disco‘. To be honest I felt at a complete loss, but soon I started coming up with ideas and this is the result of it. Turns out I actually really quite like it!

The paper are from Panduro, Papermania and Paper Cellar. The pre-coloured topper is by The Hobby House. I have used card candy by Craftwork Cards and flowers by Wild Orchid Crafts. The circles are made with Spellbinder dies and the leaves with a Martha Stewart puncher.

Baby pram

There is no challenge at The Hobby House this month. We have taken an early summer leave from the challenges, but the plan is to return to challenges once the (hopefully) lovely summer is over!

I have made a card using pink Papermania paper and green paper I don’t remember where is from as I’ve had it for several years now. That sentence there just made me realise how long I’ve been making cards for now! Cool, heh. Anyway, back to the card… The pre-coloured adorable topper is by The Hobby House, as are the flowers, pearls and the ribbon. I used a Martha Steward puncher for the flowers.

Baby birthday

There is no challenge this month at The Hobby House. We do, however, still add inspirational pieces and I have made this one using one of the new toppers in The Hobby House collection. Apart from the topper, I have also used pearls, ribbon and flowers from The Hobby House. The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat.
