Distressed rainbow, and a dragon

Today I have a very colourful card to show you. I made the background using various distress oxide inks, mostly just to see if I could manage to make something like a rainbow. I thought it turned out pretty cool so I flicked some water onto it to get the right effect and decided to keep it and use it as a background for a card. The stamp I chose to go with it is from Wild Rose Studio, and it had been forever since I last coloured it so it was about time, right?!

I decided, as usual nowadays, to keep the card clean and simple, so I used some plain card stock in a deep orange colour to which I added a text stamp from My Favorite Things.

Copics used: (green) YG01, YG13, YG63, YG67, (lilac) V00, V12, V15, V17, (yellow) Y11, Y13, Y19, (red) R22, R24, R59

17. Puppy with presents

This stamp is by Wild Rose Studio and it has been a long time since I coloured it up. It is quite an ordinary presents stamp, but I decided to colour it in with traditional Christmas colours and make it into a Christmas card.

The papers I’ve used are by Lemon Craft and the sentiment is from Norsk Stempelblad. I really do love making clean and simple cards these days!

Copics used: + a black pen to add lines as a frame around the image.

Pressies for you

Here is a card I made at the start of the year. Yes… I am that far behind in posting cards up. However, I shall try to schedule up some posts this week to try to get up to date!

I have used frantage, copics and distress ink for the effects on the image and the rest of the card. The borders are made using a Noor Design die, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the stamp is Wild Rose Studio. I wanted mostly blue and browns for the card, but as the recipient is a woman, I couldn’t help by add a dash of pink!

From Paris with love

Here is a card I made a while ago. Well, not a card per se, but close enough! And it sure is about time I get it posted on here! I made it following a tutorial on the Noor Design blog, the UK version. If you wish to have a go yourself, you can find the tutorial here. It was definitely a challenge, and I have not attempted another one again yet, but I am sure I will!

The image is pre-coloured and by Wild Rose Studio. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts (as always). The paper (and doily I believe) are by Papermania. The punches are by Martha Stewart, whereas all the border dies and matching butterflies are all by Noor Design. Lastly the sentiment stamp is by Lili of the Valley, and the lace and ribbon from a local shop. I used pearl strings to make bodies for the butterflies, from Kaiser Kraft.

Presents for the baby deer

Another card made with a pre-coloured Wild Rose Studio topper. It is so cute! I added some frantage for extra snow. The snowflakes are made with a Tim Holtz die and a Martha Stewart puncher. The fence is made with a Magnolia die, which I added some white paint to. I also added some paint to the Wild Orchid Crafts flowers to keep with the snowy effect.
