Eat cupcake and be happy

I’m trying to get quite a few of the images I’ve coloured up for the two(!) colouring challenges that Kathy Raccosin has been hosting on Instagram so far this year onto cards. I think it’s going reasonably well, but the pile is rather large so I reckon I’ll be at it for quite some time! For now I will try to have a blog post every other day. Sometimes I do wonder if I’ll ever get caught up and only have a few finished coloured images laying around…

As usual I’m keeping it simple. I cut a big of a stripy background and layered over my coloured panel. Then I found a chipboard I wanted to use, coloured it up and made a matching sentiment. A bit of coloured card stock for the card base and some enamel dots and voilà! The stamp I’ve used is from Alex Syberia’s Etsy shop and is coloured up with Copic Marker.

Blue no-lines flowers

A while ago, I coloured up this flower stamp from Inkon3 using their Fadeout ink for the no-lines effect, but I never really got around to making it into a card.

Well, now it’s done! I bought this gorgeous panel die by Lawn Fawn a week or two ago and it’s perfect! To get a bit of contrast I used blue cardstock behind it, the same colour I’ve used on the frame and small sentiment strip. The birthday die, by Simon Says Stamp, is cut out in a slightly darker cardstock. The flower is put reasonably centred on the card, but to break up the background panel somewhat I added a rectangular white panel with the blue cardstock behind it, behind a bit over half of the coloured image.

Thinking of you

When I spotted this stamp at Simon Says Stamp I simply had to have it. It’s a big and beautiful tree and an empty swing which is optional. I immediately thought it would be perfect for those hard to make “thinking of you” cards. When I have time to make a few I will do them up in different colours. It is so handy to have a few for when you need one and don’t feel like making any there and then. The sentiment says “thinking of you” in Norwegian. I put it on foam tape and added a little butterfly in matching colours to go with.

Baby girl christening card

It’s time for my inspirational card for this month’s Copic Marker Norge challenge. Our theme this month is special occasions focusing on christenings, confirmations and weddings. I opted for a digital stamp by Mo’s Digital Pencil and made a christening card for a baby girl. I’m not a massive fan of cards with pink upon pink so I opted for a few different colours in the papirs and on the embellishments.

The papers I’ve used are from Maja Design and Papirdesign, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and other bits from my stash.

Fairy sleepy

The adorable sleeping fairy baby is a stamp by Mo’s Digital Pencil. I have Lawn Fawn paper and a chipboard from Make It Crafty.
