Polkadoodles Winnie xmas wishes

Another Polkadoodles project on the menu today! The stamp is called Just for You and I’ve opted for traditional reds and greens in the colouring. For the card itself, however, I wanted a blue and white wintery feel, so I used patterned paper in those colours which I painted with white acrylic paint around the edge. The peace and joy background paper is from the Gnome Season paper pack. The circle die is from the stitched and pierced nested circles set.

Flying magical dragon

I decided a bit last minute to enter in this week’s sketch challenge over at MFT Stamps. I’ve been inspired by Torico for this card. The sky is made with Distress Oxide Inks in the colours Spiced Marmalade, Abandoned Coral and Seedless Preserves. The adorable dragon is from MFT’s Magical Dragons stamp set. It is rather impossible to fussy cut out the swirly part of the tail by hand so I opted to just cut it off entirely. The stamp is fiddly enough as it is to cut out, hahaha.

Alex Syberia Lovely Bouquet

I have made another card with the new Alex Syberia Design release. This time I’ve coloured up the Lovely Bouquet. I resized and rotated the stamp to get it how I wanted it before I printed it on A2 card stock. Once coloured I cut off a little on the size and at the bottom. The sentiment is by Hero Arts / Gina K and I used Altenew ink to stamp it. Then I sprinkled on some frantage with blue glitter and heat embossed that before using foam tape to put the coloured panel onto dark blue card stock.

Here is another photo so you can see the frantage with the blue glitter at a close-up.

Crafty Meraki japanese peony

It’s Friday again already? Anybody else feeling the days and, well, September just rushing past? I can’t believe it’s almost October! Today I have another “just because” card for you. I’ve used Studio Katia’s Japanese Peony. I stamped it on the edge of my precut card panel so that the flowers would have sharp edges to go in the bottom corner of my card and I coloured it up with Copics. You can find a list of colours at the bottom of the post. I then fussy cut it and put it on foam pads.

The background is made using a feathery stencil by Altenew and Distress Oxide Ink in the colour Pumice Stone. I’ve made up the sentiment from a small text strip and a die cut “you” with a few enamel dots around it.

Polkadoodles Winnie fairytale dreamer

Detailed images can be fiddly to colour up, but they are also fun. There are some quite small details on this image, but it’s also what makes the image stand out. Winnie Fairytale Dreamer is from Polkadoodles and I’ve coloured her up with Copic markers as usual.
