Whimsy party pig

Apparently it’s May. Not entirely sure how that happened, but hey it’s mean there’s a new release up at Whimsy Stamps! I used Crissy’s party pig for my card and can you see what I’ve done different?

Yup. Pencils. Pencils on kraft. Until about a week ago I hadn’t coloured up with pencils before, not even had a try I was unhappy with. I simply hadn’t tried. I’d been told it was difficult, so I’ve just put it up and stuck with my Copics even if I got my pencils as a gift well over three years ago! I finally tried them and they are so much fun! I love the effect I get from using them on kraft paper as well. My Prismacolor pencils are definitely going to be used regularly!

Dusty pink poppy

A few weeks back I shared a card where I had used an Altenew stamp several times and made a whole panel with it. Well, this time I’ve coloured the flower up in no-lines using InkOn3’s FadeOut Ink and I’ve also coloured up the background paper in a similar colour to match the coloured image. I used pretty much the same Copics and colour palette on the previous card, which you can click here to view. It shows quite well how much difference it made when I used a black outline on the stamp compared to this no-lined version.

The text stamp is by Mathia Design (Hobbykunst) and is stamped up using Gina K’s white ink. Gave it a cool effect, I thought. I’ve used stitched rectangle dies by MFT Stamps for both the main stamped panel and the sentiment strip. To top it all off I used three enamel dots by Altenew.

Mmmm Strawberries!

Our theme this month, at Copic Marker Norge, is something edible. Initially I was going to use a stamp with donuts, but I got a Power Poppy gift certificate for my birthday a few days ago and I simply had to colour up this stamp! Don’t the strawberries look yummy?! I cannot wait for summer and being able to pick some in mum’s garden! Strawberries are delicious!

A bit of Christmas in April

Because why not, right? This is possibly my favourite Lili of the Valley image. I love James Bear and this particular one is adorable! I used some Maja Design papers, but kept the card reasonably simple.

Thankful for a friend like you

Another simple card with focus on the colouring. I’ve used a stamp set from Gina K / Simon Says Stamp (it was a freebie with purchase at SSS) for both the flower and text stamps.
