Penguin with snowball

Time for another Christmas card, and once again it’s a rather blue one! I’ve used distress oxide on a background stamp from Simon Says Stamp together with dies from MFT Stamps (frame) and Papirdesign (sentiment). The stamp, by Whimsy Stamps, is coloured up with Copics and a few blue sequins finished off the look.

Polkadoodles Feeding the birds

Today marks the day for my final post on the Polkadoodles DT. The card I’ve made is a Christmas card as a reminder that it’s a good idea to make them all year around so that when December comes around again you don’t have to spend lots of time that you don’t really have to make more cards than you thought you needed. At least that’s how my Decembers tend to be. Too many cards to make and not enough time!

The stamp I have used is called Feeding the Birds and is a digital stamp. I’ve positioned it to the very side of the panel made sure it was big enough to get all the details to show properly.

The card itself is super easy. I’ve taken a matching piece of scrap paper I had laying around and made a border at the top, which was added with foam tape for dimension. The same goes for the sentiment. A handful of matching sequins around the text finished off the card.

Copics used: B0000, B91, B93, B95, B97, B99, BV20, BV23, BG000, N0, N1, N3, W5, W7, W10, E00, E02, E08, E13, E15, E18, E19, E42, E43, E44, E71, E74, E77, E79, R22, R24, R29, R89, G21, G24, G94, G99

RAM paper plane

It is time for my second DT project this month for Rachelle Anne Miller. What also happened today is that MFT Stamps has announced that from the start of February they will be selling Rachelle’s illustrations as stamps! How cool is that? For today’s project I’ve used the paper plane with the two kids. I made this card inspired by a card I made last autumn and hand cut the stamp for a change. I used two distress oxides for the sky together with a self-made circle stencil and MFT’s cloud stencil, and then I put the clouds, plane and sentiment on form pads

Copics used: E00, E02, E13, E15, E42, E43, E44, W0, W1, W3, N5, N7, N9, BG11, BG13, BG15, BG18, BG78

Polkadoodles snowman skiing

My first design team project of the year is one for Polkadoodles using their latest release, Frosty Smiles. It’s all about snowmen! Which is perfect really as we’ve had a white start to the year and we have definitely made time for playing in the snow. This particular snowman is out skiing!

The sentiment, stamped with Altenew ink, is from the Spring Rose layering stamp set.

Here is another photo of the card.

Copics used: B0000, BG000, BV20, B21, B24, B26, B39, T3, T5, T7, E71, E74, E77, YR21, YR24, YR27, C00, C0, C1, C2

Lotv James in the forest snow

This is my second attempt at colouring in my own background. I stuck with various purples for my little forest scene. The adorable bear is by Lili of the Valley and I’m sure you’ve seen me use this stamps a few times in the past! It gets a bit of a different look with a drawn in background, though. I also added some snow to the ground as well as some falling snow. The brighter blue scarf and hat stands out nicely against the background.

The card itself is quite simple. I didn’t feel like it needed a lot added to it, so I simply used a stitched border die for the panel, a Norwegian Christmas sentiment in a dark purple and some semi-transparent sequins around it.
