Dino Danny

It’s Friday and time for a new Anything Goes challenge at Art by Mi Ran’s facebook group! Our optional theme this month is Mermaids! As you will see I didn’t only opt out, but I went with something completely different. I used one of the brand new boy images in Mi Ran’s shop called Dino Danny! He is so cute! I love him! My mojo has been gone since before New Years, but now it’s back! At least for colouring. I decided to keep the card simple.

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, (hair) E31, E34, E37, (outfit) G40, G82, G94, G99, Y17, YR04, E19, (ground) E42, E44, E47

Shy Violet

It is Tuesday and time for a new Tiddly Inks challenge. This time it is anything goes!! How easy, right?! Or in my case, super hard! I spend far less time choosing an image when there’s a specific theme, than I do when I can choose whatever I want. I am awkward though, I know…

In the end, the decision fell on Shy Violet. The listed stamp is not just one, but two stamps. I used the other stamp, the flower, for my release card, and I thought it was time to use this cutie as well! All coloured in with Copics, of course. I went for a rather pale look for once, which I tend to find hard to do.

The papers are Lili of the Valley which I cut out using GoKreate dies and distressed the edges with purple. To jazz it up a bit I used extra distress ink on the second background and added frantage to some of the layers. The decorations are made with various goodies from Noor Design (the butterflies), Wild Orchid Crafts (the flowers) and Live and Love Crafts (the pearl chain, the berry flower and the lace). The ribbon I purchased online from a dress shop. Isn’t it pretty?!

This card has been entered into the following challenges:

Craft your Passion – Anything goes
Incy Wincy Design – Tic Tac Toe
Allsorts – Use at least 3 Die Cuts

Copics used: (hair) E53, E55, E57, (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, R20, (outfit) V91, V93, V95, V99.

Thank you so much for the honour choosing my card for your top 5. Thank you, Incy Wincy Design!

New tiddly release flower with Shy Violet

New Tiddly Inks release time! Yey! I actually managed to colour up two of the new images before they went live. They are so very cute! Here is the first one I did. It is the violet included with the Shy Violet stamp. Trust me to choose to colour up the included stamp and make a card with that, rather than the main one! This stamp is great though, you can use it for ANYTHING! Perfect!

Obviously I coloured it in with copics.. I’ll let you know the day I use something else! The papers are by Lili of the Valley, the doily Dovecraft, the lace Live and Love Crafts and the butterfly dies Noor Design. The flowers are by Wild Orchid Crafts and I added dark pink glittery glue inside so they would match the flowers I coloured up. I’ve also used distress ink, liquid pearls, rows of pearls, and a ribbon from a local shop.

Copics used: (leaves) YG03, G40, G82, G94, (pot) E50, E42, E44, E47, (flowers) RV00, R81, R83, R89, Y08, Y00

Baby Inks

Ok, so it’s not Tuesday. My post is late! As I was so busy working on the new Tiddly Inks release I never scheduled my post ahead of time and when I went to add it Tuesday morning the modem was dead and I’ve not had Internet until now.. doh! So here it is!

The new Tiddly Inks challenge theme is Baby Inks! I used Sleep Tight Baby and coloured it in with Copics. Do come play along, I’d love to see your makes!

The card base is made with Go Kreate dies. The berry flowers and lace are from Live and Love Crafts, the flowers and pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the ribbon from a local shop and the papers are by Lili of the Valley. I also used liquid pearls, a Noor Design die and a Martha Stewart puncher.

Curly Victorian Girl

It is Friday and time for a new challenge at Art by Mi Ran’s facebook group. Anything goes is always great because you can choose whichever of Mi Ran’s awesome images to use for it! I used Victoria for this card, mostly to have a real good go at those curls! I wanted it to stand out properly so I cropped the image to the upper half of the body only. Sadly the darker brown markers were a bit sticky. Silly things need cleaning ALL the time!!

So yeah, I coloured it in with copics, you can find the colours at the bottom of the page. I used paper from Pion, Inkido and First Edition Paper, and I made the blue background myself. I do regret using the blue frame around the image. I blame a long week at work on that one… Oh well! The white and pink circles are iCandy by Craftwork Cards, the flowers are by Wild Orchid Crafts, The Hobby House and Live and Love Crafts. I added a feather, but it’s not so visible in the photo. The butterlies are Noor Design.
