Altenew Statement Flowers

Sometimes you simply cannot get a hold of a stamp you want. That is how it was for me with this stamp, Statement Flowers by ALTENEW. I finally got a hold of it this morning and coloured it up while the baby was having a nap. I coloured in the card base to match my colouring (RV93) and used a GinaK/HeroArts sentiment. I stamped the sentiment using Fresh Leaf from the Zesty Limes mini cubes set. The enamel dots are from Altenew as well, from the Green Fields set.

Copics used: (pink) RV91, RV93, RV95, (brown) E70, E71, E74, E77, (lighter green) G40, G21, G24, (darker green) BG90, BG93, BG96

Pencil flowers on kraft

Here is the very first colouring I did using pencils. It made its way onto a card thanks to Elin who suggested this layout, inspired by a card made by Colorfulcluttereddesk on IG two years earlier, and mostly remote-controlled the making of this card. That is a very fun way to make a card, by the way, and I suggest you give it a try!

It was during one of the 30 day colouring challenges that I decided it was finally time to dig out my Prismacolor pencils and give them a try. I didn’t even have a pencil sharpener… but thankfully my other half hurried to the shop once I was done with the big flower as it was no way I was going to finish the rest of the card without sharpening a single pencil!

The gorgeous flower is a stamp by Power Poppy. The polaroid die is by MFT Stamps, the big letters are chipboard by Make it Crafty and the sentiment strip is made using Mathia Design stamps. The text means “hi, we’ll miss you”.

If anybody has a particular interest in knowing which pencils I’ve used, then I have written that down somewhere, so just pop me a message.

You deserve this

The great thing about stamps is that you can use them in lots of different ways. The previous time I used this stamp, which is a flower stamp by InkOn3, on a card I stamped it once, in no-lines and then I cut it out for the card I made (you can see that card here). This time I’ve stamped it twice, at different angles, with black ink. I’ve coloured it up using Copic Marker and placed it on green cardstock. I used text stamps from Mathia Design (Hobbykunst) where I stamped the bigger text directly onto the coloured panel and the other text was stamped on black card stock and embossed in white. Three rhinestones and the card was done.

Thankful for a friend like you

Another simple card with focus on the colouring. I’ve used a stamp set from Gina K / Simon Says Stamp (it was a freebie with purchase at SSS) for both the flower and text stamps.

Copics used: V12, V15, V17, V09, G94, G99, YG03, YG17, Y32, Y38, E08, E18

Background stamping

Sometimes it’s fun to make a background out of a stamp. For this one I’ve used a stamp from ALTENEW and stamped it up at random 4 times. It’s a pretty big stamp so it covers a lot of area. I then coloured it all in with my Copics, as usual, using the RV90 series. I also coloured in the card base to get a matching colour frame and then I used RV99 to make a sentiment strip. I used Gina K’s white ink for the text stamp and said text stamp is by Mathia Design (Hobbykunst). At the end I added 3 light grey enamel dots below the sentiment.
