Baby bear

I have decided to change the look of my blog’s homepage somewhat, so I have now decided to show the whole post on the homepage. I have gone back and made this change for all cards posted this year (the three previous posts). So avoid a tiny scroll bar and a miles of page to scroll through, I have also reduced the number of posts available per page. Within a week or so I will also add a page for this year’s cards.

Today’s card has been made with papers from Pion Design, a pre-coloured die cut image as well as a sentiment stamp from Lili of the Valley, pearls and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, branches made with a Martha Stewart puncher and some Tim Holtz purple distress ink. To frame the main image I made a matching purple scalloped circle. The ribbon is from a local shop and I tied it into a bow in a new way (well new for me). I think it turned out alright.

I have also made a new watermark for my cards as I figured I was due a bit of change 🙂

Shabby Chic

I have never tried it before, the shabby chic style, but I’ve seen so many beautiful cards with the style that I figured now was a good time to give it a go. There is nothing like a good dose of inspiration, and it is Fleur who has made me want to try this style. Her cards are absolutely gorgeous; take a look if you haven’t already! Always the same soft wonderful colours. Here is my take on a shabby chic card:

Mechanical Birthday

A new year, and a lot of cards to make! There are so many I want to make (and need to make soon), but first I have this website to sort out. Now that my first holiday this year is booked, the university courses are sorted and the time-table laid out I know what time I’ll have between studies and work, and I also know my deadline for the first batches of cards to bring with me on holiday. Although the year started horribly, things are starting to pick up a bit. I have made some cards already, though! Let’s have a closer look at the first one!
