Pink Azalea

Another clean and simple card from me today. This time I’ve made a card using one of the flower stamps from Power Poppy. I had a bit of a accident with my copics right at the end when colouring it up, a big massive near-black coloured blob. I managed to fix it, mostly, and then I fussy cut the image. The background it something I made using one of the pink distress oxide inks and a heart stencil, and the text stamp is by Huldra Designstudio.

Copics used: (pink) RV52, RV55, RV17, R39, R89, (green) YG01, YG13, YG63, YG67, (brown) E21, E25, E29 + white pen

LLLC: Valentines

With carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists, card making is a little bit of a challenge at the moment. The cause of it should make it go away on its own in a month’s time or so, though, and I cannot wait for my hands to work normally again!

I’ve made a CAS card for today’s La-La Land Crafts theme of Valentines. All the products I’ve used is listed below. It was fun to use Washi tape as the only background on a card. The very few rolls I have matches what I’d coloured up perfectly!

Stamps:
Garland Marci
Dream Come True clear stamp

Dies:
Heart Garland
Double Stitched Stars
Stitched Nested Circles
Love Always
Mini Butterflies

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E02, E13, E15, E25, E43, R30, R32, (hair) BV20, BV23, BV25, BV29, (dress) E41, E42, E43, N0, N1, N3, R30, R32, R35

You have my heart

Another card ready for the MFT Stamps Superstar contest. This time I’ve made one for the Clean and Simple Genius category.

All the stamps are from the Ewe are the Best stamp set, the sentiment included. It was a little bit fiddly stamping them all on one layer as that is something I very rarely do, at least not several on one. The you die is half of the miss you die and it’s been cut out on the same paper I’ve used to frame the card; the green in the Watercolor Wash Brights paper pad. Everything has been stamped with Memento and coloured in with Copics. You can find a list of the colours I used at the bottom of this post.

Copics used: (grass) G21, G40, YG61, YG63, YG67, (dark brown) E70, E71, E74, E77, (light brown) E41, E42, E43, (grey) C0, C1, C3, C5, (heart) R22, R24, R27, R39, (sky) B60

This card has been entered into the following challenges:

Angelica and hearts

As it is the start of December we have another Progressive Challenge for you at Mi Ran’s Facebook group. Buy the first image this month, play along, and get next month’s image given to you! Fab deal, right? This month we are playing with Angelica. If you’d like to just purchase her, then she will be available in the Art by Mi Ran shop in January.

I coloured mine in with copics and used various papers and embellishments from Lili of the Valley (papers), Wild Orchid Crafts (flowers), Craftwork Cards and Martha Stewart.

Heart-strings

As the year is a bit awkward for doing challenges every 4 weeks and still only 12 a year, the July challenges at Mi Ran’s facebook group lasted two weeks longer than normal, so for 6 whole weeks. It gave us all a bit of a summer holiday and everyone on their holidays had more time to enter. Win/Win if you ask me! As it is time for the first August Challenge, it means it’s time for the progressive challenge! It’s fun too as we get more entries each month! The thing about the progressive challenge is that you join the facebook group and sign up for the progressive challenges, once you enter the challenge you will automatically recieve the image for the next challenge! How neat is that?! So come join up and join in! If you’d rather just purchase the image in Mi Ran’s shop, you can do so next month once the challenge is over. This is what I made for this month’s challenge.

I struggled a bit with the image, so instead of making it easy for myself.. I waited until the last minute, decided to try dip dyed hair for the first time and do something I hardly ever do: make a very simple CAS card using my own colouring. As I have a terrible habit of doing things backwards, I’ll try Kit and Clowder’s dip dye tutorial in their skin and hair class tomorrow.

The sentiment is by Pink Pettycoat. I added some rhinestones to jazz it up.
