Magnolia Blossoms

Did you see the video I put up in the middle of March? Well, you can find it here, if you haven’t seen it yet. I’m showing how I coloured up this stamp from My Favorite Things called Magnolia Blossoms. Today the card is ready. I’ve drawn in a black whimsical border and some random dots, gave it a narrow cut to have a white border on the side. Then I used black ink on a stamp by Avery Elle.

Colouring Video – Magnolia Blossoms

I have another pencil colouring video for you today. This time I’ve used a stamp by My Favorite Things called Magnolia Blossoms. The image has been stamped twice at slightly different angles using GinaK Designs’ Amalgam Ink and it has been coloured up using Prismacolor Premier Pencils.

There’s no audio this time either and the video itself has been sped up so that it is twice as fast as the real time colouring. Then you have an idea of how long it took to colour it. It takes longer to make the actual video than it takes to colour up the image, that’s for sure!

If you’d rather watch the video directly on YouTube, please click here.

Pencils used: (brown) 947, 945, 943, 997, (green) 109, 1097, 1005, 989, (pink) 994, 929, 928, 1014, 938

Another pencil coloured flower

As you’ve noticed I am quite fond of colouring with pencils on kraft. I have yet to actually try to use them on anything else! This time I’ve coloured up a stamp from Power Poppy. The numbers were cut out using an MFT Stamps die and then coloured up with the same pencils so it would match the colour of the flower. I finished it off with the recipient’s name and a few enamel dots.

Rainbow books

I really wanted to make something today. It’s been a super busy week and I’ve hardly had time to sit down and spend time crafting or colouring, so now that it’s finally weekend I wanted to make sure to get some time in! And nothing. There was nothing I felt like making, apart from a vague feeling of wanting something with a rainbow on. After a while I remembered this pencil colouring I did a while back. The stamp is by Mama Elephant. I had some Lawn Fawn scrap paper laying about in lovely rainbow colours, so a piece of that, some white cardstock and the perfect Mama Elephant sentiment meant I got a card done after all!

Statement flowers with pencils

I’ve finally sat down to colour up the Statement Flowers by ALTENEW using my Prismacolor pencils. I love how they turned out, and I have to admit I don’t know if I prefer the pencil or copic colouring more for these. There’ll be more pencil versions, though, that’s for sure! I used Gina K’s amalgam ink for stamping up the flower and for the sentiment.

After I had coloured it all up and used one of my stitched rectangle dies for the panel I decided to possibly ruin the whole thing. Not a good idea, I know, but with limited time testing doesn’t tend to get priority, hahaha. I’ve bought some Dylusion Ink Sprays the past week and opted to give the black one (yup, that darkest possible option) a go over my coloured panel! Thankfully it turned out alright. The sentiment is from the Dearest Friend stamp set and I’ve also used Altenew enamel dots from the New Day set as a finishing touch.
