Merry Wishes

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and I hope you are able to spend some of the time with at least one of your loved ones in this difficult year.

Here I have used the Merry Wishes stamp set by MFT Stamps and coloured in the whole panel with my Copics. The card itself is kept simple, so I stamped a sentiment from the Christmas Cheer (MFT also) set onto the coloured panel and then die cut it with a rectangle STAX frame (MFT) before using foam tape to attach it to the purple card base (MFT as well).

The stamps have been masked together. It can be a bit fiddly, but remember that you only need to cut out the part that is used for the masking. I tend to keep used masks together with the stamp set so I can easily reuse them another time. You can always cut out the rest of the mask another time if you want to use another part of the stamp for masking.

Lotv James in the forest snow

This is my second attempt at colouring in my own background. I stuck with various purples for my little forest scene. The adorable bear is by Lili of the Valley and I’m sure you’ve seen me use this stamps a few times in the past! It gets a bit of a different look with a drawn in background, though. I also added some snow to the ground as well as some falling snow. The brighter blue scarf and hat stands out nicely against the background.

The card itself is quite simple. I didn’t feel like it needed a lot added to it, so I simply used a stitched border die for the panel, a Norwegian Christmas sentiment in a dark purple and some semi-transparent sequins around it.

Whimsy bunny Row

For Whimsy Stamps‘ December release I’ve made a slimline card using the Christmas Bunny Row extended stamp. This extended version is perfect for a slimline card. They do have one with fewer bunnies as well (here). I’ve kept it super simple and just coloured it up, embossed first with white embossing powder and then some white frantage to get some bigger chunks as well. The coloured panel was added to the card base using foam tape.

Crafty Meraki new beginning

December already and although I have a lot of winter and Christmas themed cards to show you this month, I am starting off with a floral card! Today’s project is a card made using the Little Things floral stamp from Crafty Meraki’s own collection. I started out by making a line in the middle with a black marker and masked off one half of the card, then I stamped the flower stamp before masking the other side, rotating the stamp set and stamping again. That way I used the same part of the stamp twice.

Once I had coloured it up I used part of a sentiment stamp from the Colorado Craft Company collaboration set, before using the rest of the same sentiment next to it instead of having it under as it was designed. I glued it onto lilac MFT card stock and used matching enamel dots from Altenew.

And here is a close-up photo for you.

Crafty Meraki shaker card

It’s Tuesday and time for another Crafty Meraki project. I’ve made another shaker card this week and this time I’ve used the full bigger frame from Frame Worthy slimline dies set. The stamps I decided to use this time is from the Flurry of Love set by My Favorite Things, and I made it with a subtle purple as the main colour. I’ve used nearly all the stamps from said set and masked them together. Then I used the frame to make the shaker area filling it with various sequins in matching colours before adding two sentiments on top.

Here is another photo where the shaker elements aren’t covering the whole image
