Polkadoodles snowman skiing

My first design team project of the year is one for Polkadoodles using their latest release, Frosty Smiles. It’s all about snowmen! Which is perfect really as we’ve had a white start to the year and we have definitely made time for playing in the snow. This particular snowman is out skiing!

The sentiment, stamped with Altenew ink, is from the Spring Rose layering stamp set.

Here is another photo of the card.

Copics used: B0000, BG000, BV20, B21, B24, B26, B39, T3, T5, T7, E71, E74, E77, YR21, YR24, YR27, C00, C0, C1, C2

RAM Christmas Ornaments

I decided to do something different this time for my Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios design team project. Instead of a card I’ve made two matching Christmas tags. I used two of the three stamps that come in the Christmas Ornament stamp set. On the back of each one I’ve stamped a Norwegian to and from stamp and they are ready to be written on and tied onto Christmas presents!

The tags are made using a die from La-La Land Crafts and the papers are Maja Design.

Here is a closer look at the snowman tag.

And here is a closer look at the koala tag.

Copics used: (snowman) B0000, BG000, C0, C1, C3, (white) C0, C1, C3, (teal) BG72, BG75, BG78, (black on koala) W5, W7, W9, (koala) T0, T1, T3, T5, E43, R81, R83, (orange) R01, R02, E07, (black on snowman) N5, N7, N9

Lotv bears building snowman

Lili of the Valley is working on yet another new Christmas release and it’s a great one! I simply had to colour up one of the stamps right away, with these bears building a snowman! Even though there is loads of white, I opted for a no-lines version of the stamp. Blue is my favourite colour for Christmas cards, so I suppose it was a bit of an obvious choice, but hey! When it looks great, why pick something else, right? hehehe

The decorations are kept simple with just a cluster of die cut scrap paper, some die cut snowflakes, one of Lili of the Valley’s own sentiments as well as some enamel dots.

And this marks the end of August. I am pleased I managed to do a card a day. There’ll be quite a few cards the next few months too, I am sure. Tomorrow is September, and I don’t think I am quite ready for autumn yet.

Copics used: C0, C1, C2, N0, N1, N3, N5, N7, E41, E42, E43, E44, E70, E71, E74, E77, B91, B93, B95, B97, YR23, YR31, E34, R81, R83

Huldra snowman

I got invited to a crafting retreat this autumn quite last minute and this is one of the cards I made there. One of the other ladies there inspired this card as she’d made a beautiful mosaic background with leftover green papers. I simply had to lift the idea and made a card of my own with the same technique. I really quite like it!

The papers are by Maja Design and Papirdesign, and the stamps are both from Huldra Designstudio. I love the sentiment. It reads: A snowflake is the butterfly of winter.

Begge stemplene er fra Huldra Designstudio og jeg synes tekststempelet er veldig fint! The papers are from Maja Design og Papirdesign.

25. Blue Christmas at last

The last couple of projects I made were in my usual Christmas favourite, blue. I even used the same stamp for them both, where I coloured the clothes in the same colours. She got a different hair colour though. The stamp is by C.C. Designs. I found these gorgeous Maja Design papers right before Christmas and they are the perfect colour for the blue I wanted for Christmas.

The usual twine and charm is accomponied by card candi and acrylic paint. I’ve added a lot of distress ink and frantage to the image itself.

Here both projects are side by side. If you’d like more details about the lollipop card you can view that post here as it went up a few days ago.

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E21, (hair) E41, E42, E43, E44, (brown) E71, E74, E77, E79, (blue) B91, B93, B95, B97, B99
