Party Animals

Time for a colourful and fun card! I’ve used three of the party selfie stamps from MFT Stamps and coloured them up in matching colours. The card base is also from MFT Stamps onto which I’ve stamped various sentiments and some confetti. The lion is added on with foam tape and I’ve coloured up chipboard numbers to match.

I’ve entered this card into the following challenge:

Simon Says Monday Challenge: Stamp It

OCC – day 1

I have, for the very first time this week, watched a cardmaking video! In fact I have now watched three. This past month I’ve been colouring daily and my days have been super busy so I decided to take some time out for myself and make some cards without coloured images. Online Cardmaking Classes, hosted by Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner, have a new course out called Crushing on Cardstock. As a late joiner with very limited time on my hands I have no goal of watching all the videos and trying all the various techniques before the initial period is up. I have however set myself a goal of 5 cards. Today I will show you the first three, they are all part of the first day of lessons.

First up I want to show you the card I made after watching Caly Person’s video. It’s all about paper weaving. I used three different turquoise coloured papers by MFT Stamps and made score lines in them for interest. I then used a Papirdesign die together with an embossed Mathia Design sentiment. Finally I added three butterflies made from La-La Land Crafts dies.

Next up is a card I made after watching Cathy Zielsky’s video. This one is about stripes. I’ve cut the stripes from five different MFT Stamps cardstock and as I don’t have the item she uses to line them up I’ve done it the old fashioned way by gluing them on with foam tape and hoping they line up nicely. It worked better than I feared when I started! The sentiment and enamel dots are by Altenew.

And the final one I have to show you is the first I made, after watching a cardmaking video for the first time. The video was by Kristina Werner. Here it’s all about making patterns with paper strips. I opted for a blue and grey combination using paper from MFT Stamps. The dies used are from La-La Land Crafts and MFT Stamps. The sentiment is made from chipboard which I coloured in to mix and a printed sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.

Mo’s Tillie

I have one final card to share as a guest on Mo’s Digital Pencil’s DT while Elin is away on holiday and I chose the adorable Tillie for my project.

This time I wanted to make a fun background again so I used a stencil and a background stamp to make the background and then I made three stacking sentiments. The stamp was cut out by hand, put on foam tape and placed on the side before I added some enamel dots at random.

Happy 30th

This is the other of the two cards I made for my sister’s birthday this year. I decided it was time to try a full panel shaker card. I’ve seen a few others make these recently so I played around a little bit to see if I could work it out. I think it turned out alright and it’s such a fun card to give away!

The background is made with distress oxide inks and then I used a background stamp from MFT Stamps on the top part of the background in a slightly darker turquoise colour. I used various sequins and blings for the shaker area and then I added a sentiment and a coloured Tiddly Inks image on top.

RAM Animal train

Today is the release day for this month’s new digital stamps in Rachelle Anne Miller’s online shop (aff. link). I simply had to pick this adorable train stamp to colour up! I opted for making it all into a baby card and used the big letter dies by MFT Stamps, where I distressed the bottom half, and added a baby chipboard over the top of it. The small enamel stars are by Altenew.
