Whimsy Autumn Swing

There is a new digital release at Whimsy Stamps again and this time I’ve used Autumn Swing. I coloured up a little scene for her rather quickly, but it gave the effect I wanted. Proper autumn colours were needed for this card and what is better than a big tree to swing from?

Copics used: BV23, BV25, BV29, E00, E02, E13, E15, E31, E35, E37, E39, E29, YG63, YG67, G21, G43, G46, R32, R35, R37, R59, YR04, YR09, YR15, Y13, Y17, N0, N3

Whimsy would follow you anywhere

I looked at my phone this morning and it said “October”. I’m not sure I’m ready for that. Don’t get me wrong, I love the beautifully coloured trees, the fresh wind and the non-guilty hot-chocolate moments with a blanket because it’s not too warm for it anymore, but still. Winter is just a tad bit too close. That also means Christmas is coming closer. Are you ready? Have you started on your cards? Mine are actually mostly done! And I have another one to show you today.

A new month also means a new Whimsy Stamps release! I’ve played with one of the new digital stamps. It has a penguin AND a polar bear. Doesn’t get much better than that, right? You can find it here. I didn’t use any dies this time as I cut the coloured panel and then I just tore across the top so I could have some background paper peeking through, but if you prefer dies then the Slimline card builder die so work well for this.

Copics ued: (red) R22, R24, R27, R29, R59, R89, (dark grey) N3, N5, N7, N9, (light grey, penguin – hat – ground) N0, N1, N3, (orange) Y32, Y35, Y38, E97, (polar bear) W0, W1, W2, W3, (paw) E41, E42, E43,

Anemones

I’ve used the Paint-a-flower Anemone by ALTENEW. Very curious what the new paint-a-flower will be, but for now I will admire the new release they have out today. (You can view it here.) It is stamped twice onto the card stock, at different angles, and then coloured up with Copic Marker as usual. I’ve used one of the stitched rectangle dies by MFT Stamps, a birthday die by Pinkfresh as well as an embossed sentiment from the Enjoy the Little Things stamp set by Whimsy Stamps. The enamel dots are off this set at Altenew.

The purples are V000, V12, V15, V17 and V09

Whimsy penguins with snowman

One of the great advantages of digital stamps is how you can split and resize and remove things to fit your project. That is what I’ve decided on this time. All of these penguins are part of the same digital stamp. The stamp is part of the new digital release at Whimsy Stamps and is called Penguins Build a Snowman.

I opted for a slimline card this time using the great slimline film strip die. I digitally cut the digital stamp into the sections I wanted and resized them accordingly so each would fit in one of the frames. Then I erased the lines that was a part of the other sections of the original image to make them look like stand alone stamps.

To finish it off I used an inverted colour version of Merry and Bright sentiment stamp and some sparkly enamel dots.

Copics used: N0, N1, N2, N3, N5, N7, N9, C0, C1, C2, B91, B93, B95, B97, B99, YR31, YR23, E34, E97, E41, E42, E43, RV10, RV32, RV34, BV23, BV25, BV29

Friendship is a million little things

Another very simple card. And I’m now certain I will manage to post up a new card every day this month. Only two days to go!

Today I’ve used a stamp from Mo’s Digital Pencil. It’s such a happy image and it’s fun to colour it up, too. The sentiment is by Whimsy Stamps and it’s from the Enjoy the Little Things clear stamp set.
