Christmas is approaching fast.
The two cards featured in this post was also made about a month ago. Although I haven’t had much time to post the past month I’m sort of happy about that now when I have no time to make new cards. I guess it’s worked itself out, heh.
These two cards are both red and I have used Sarah Kay stamps by Stampavie for both. I have loved her stuff ever since discovering her stuff about ten years ago. So so cute!
I wanted a punched edge, so I made that first. Additionally, I had to use the Sarah Kay stamps! I purchased them this summer with the first lot of stuff I bought and my fingers had been itching to colour them ever since. The shephard was first out and I’m pleased how it turned out. Apart from that I was playing around and went with a punched edge, as I hadn’t used the edge puncher in a while, a border, some pearls and of course: a giant snowflake!
For the inside I used a text stamp on a white background where I drew a frame of mistletoes which was surrounded by silver like the front. For the written greeting part I also drew a mistletoe border, but made it a little larger.
The second card front matches the first perfectly a side from using a different Sarah Kay stamp. I love this cute little girl peaking around the curtains ready to get on stage for the school play. That’s what I’ve decided she’s up to anyway! There wasn’t a lot to colour, as such, but there were a few difficult bits such as making her hair significantly
To make the inside of this card look a little different from the previous, I decided to use the silver to frame the greeting as well as using a bell stamp in the corner and drawing a simple frame. Around the text stamp I drew a frame of fireworks to match the happy new year greeting.
