A few weeks back I had a request for a card from a co-worker. She was rather specific in what she wanted. She had seen one of the cards I had put up on the blog previously and wanted something similar. On the right here you can see a small version of the card she picked out.
She wanted the same sort of colours, and the same image, if possible. I said I’d try to make it a bit more harmonious as I felt the other card could use some improvements. It was a fun challenge where I felt I was given the opportunity to improve a card I had made previously. Keeping it close to the original, but giving it a unique feel as I don’t like the idea of making the same thing twice!
The image is a pre-coloured one by Lili of the Valley, so that was easy to reuse. The green background is from a First Edition Paper pad. The ribbon, I believe, is from The Hobby House. I have used flowers and pearls from Wild Orchid Craft and a few Martha Stewart punchers to make the edge, the leaves and the butterfly.
Here you can see how I did the inside of the card. The text is in Norwegian.
Here is the card laid down so you can see how the embellishments stand up from it.
I am really quite pleased with the “remake” of this card. I think it turned out quite well!
