Blue Santa-Wryn with reindeer

It’s the middle of the month so we are ready for a new challenge at Copic Marker Norge. This time it is one of my favourite themes: blue Christmas! You have until middle of January to enter.

I have made a plain card this time around. I like my Christmas cards to be reasonably plain this year as you might have figured out already! The image is by Tiddly Inks, and is one of my favourite images for Christmas cards. It is called Reindeer Games. I’ve coloured it in with copics, but not the usual combinations. Both the blues and the colours I used for the hair are new copics I hadn’t used before. I like them!

The background is made with a snowy background paper to which I added white embossed snowflakes. I added the same snowflakes around the card using blue glitter embossing which I also used on the text stamp, which, by the way, is by Norsk Stempelblad and means “Santa hug”.

And another photo, because why not!

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E21, (hair) E71, E74, E77, (reindeer) E41, E43, E44, E47, C3, C5, (outfit) B32, B34, B37, B99, C3, C5, (bells) Y19, YR18, (ground) C3, C5 + white pen

A Tiddly wedding

Tiddly Inks is due with a new challenge! This time around we’d like to see projects with the theme of Friends and Family.

I decided to go with a wedding card. I mean… there is no secret that I love the Tiddly Inks wedding images! This one was out this summer and I think it might be my new favourite for wedding cards. Isn’t it lovely? It is called Garden Wedding. And as always, it’s been coloured in with copics. You can find the colours I used at the bottom of the post.

Along with Pion Design paper, I’ve used various bits from Wild Orchid Crafts (ribbon and flowers), Memory Box (hearts) and I think the butterflies might be Noor Design.

And another photo…

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, (hair) E25, E27, E31, E34, E59, (dress) W0, W1, W2, (suit) W3, W5, W7, W9, 100, (flowers and tie) RV23, R39, G21, YG67, G99, (grass) YG01, YG03, YG67, G99 + white gel pen

Grandma’s lilies

Tiddly Inks has recently released a bunch of new digital stamps, some of them flowers. Today I am showing you the one called Grandma’s Lilies. As always the image has been coloured in with Copics.

The butterfly die is from Precious Marieke, which I cut out in white and then proceeded to colour in V09 to match the darkest part of the flower. The sentiment and one of the papers is by Lili of the Valley, the ribbon by Søstrene Grene and the lace from Live and Love Crafts. I used XL dies from GoCreate to make the shape of the card and some white acrylic paint and frantage to give a more weathered look.

Copics used: V12, V15, V17, V09, YG03, YG63, YG67, Y04, Y38

Halloween with Gossmere

It’s Tiddly Challenge time! Woo! Aaaand it’s October! You know what that means, right? Oh, yes! Spooks!

I used Gossmere and once again had fun playing around with my copics. I just tossed various zig-zag lines for the sky and went over with the clear marker, drew the tree and the moon myself. I’ve also drawn the spider web. Raven die by Noor Design and the text die by Papirdesign.

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, (hair) E25, E27, E31, E34, E49, (dress) Y11, Y13, Y38, YR15 BV02, V09, V17, (sky, moon and ground) BV20, BV23, BV25, BV29, Y11, Y13, Y38, 0, W3, W5, W7, W9

Shaker card and winter wryn

It’s Friday and it’s fab! It’s Tiddly Inks time! Winter Wryn is in my spotlight today.

I’ve done it. I’ve started making Christmas cards. But instead of doing the ‘same old’, I decided to have a go at a shaker card for the first time. As usual I didn’t follow a tutorial, as I think it’s more fun to try stuff on my own. I do like to make things awkward for myself, right?

It is not perfect. I decided to double layer the foam tape and had to cut it by hand so the thickness isn’t the same on both layers. This means that the little stars I used got stuck around the side and it looks like I’d made a frame with them as well. It works. It looks great. But it wasn’t intentional, haha!

The ‘god jul’ die is from Kaboks, the flowers from The Hobby House and Wild Orchid Cards, Martha Stewart made the puncher, the white candy is from Craftwork Card (I coloured two of them with YG67), and the paper is by Maja Design. Oh and the stars in the shaker card? That is just some confetti I had laying about. In a bag that is, not all over! I will have to get something that looks like snow for the next one.

Here you can see the stars being all over:
