James Bear with Christmas cracker

It’s been a lot of clean and simple Christmas cards this year, and by a lot I mean that most of them have been CAS! So, I decided it was time for something different and proper traditional colours. It is my turn to show off something in the Christmas Calendar over at Copic Marker Norge today, and this is what I decided to make. It is perfectly reasonable to decided to make something with loads of layers that takes longer than CAS does when you have hardly any time at all, right?

Anyway, I used this adorable stamp from Lili of the Valley. I have a feeling I’ll colour it up again before Christmas, if I can only decide on which colour to use for it! I combined it with lace I got from Live and Love Crafts, Papirdesign paper and sentiment. Then I used some acrylic paint around the edges of the layers and some twine along with a gingerbread charm. And it’s obviously coloured up with Copics as usual. You can find the colours listed at the bottom of this post.

Here is a photo from the side you can see how the card is stood on a surface.

And another photo of the card laying down.

Copics used: (bear) E41, E42, E43, E44, (white) W0, W1, W3, W5, (yellow) Y11, Y13, Y19, Y38, (red) R22, R24, R29, R39, R89

Wryn – Just a note

It is November already! Yikes! Time is flying super fast it feels like and I’m struggling to keep up! Anyway, new month means new Tiddly Inks challenge on the challenge blog! The theme this month is Divine Dimension!

Ok, so this was a bit of a struggle for me. I think I’ve simply been making too many CAS cards as of late, because it certainly felt like I wasn’t able to think of anything remotely useful! I did however end up making a shaker card in a darker green colour with a dusty pink to go with. I must say, I do really quite like this combination and I’m very pleased with how it all turned out in the end! The stamp I went with this time around is Wryn – Just a note.

The chipboards are by Make it Crafty, which I coloured up with Copics as well, papers are by Papirdesign and Maja Design. The frame die and the butterflies are La-La Land Crafts.

Here you can see the card laying down flat with the pearls in the shaker area more spread out and how various layers have some dimension to them.

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E02, E13, E15, (hair) E08, E18, E19, E97, (dress) G21, G40, G82, (note) V000, V91, V93, V95 + white pen
