Purple Christmas Tilda

One of the two Christmas cards I made for March was a simple one and it features Magnolia’s Tilda. I’ve used a La-La Land Crafts christmas die and a border die by Pretty Pink Posh. I do like my cards clean and simple, and I never make enough purple Christmas cards!

Monsters!

Another boy’s birthday which I needed to make a card for. It almost looks like I’m making a habit out of making boy cards now! This time I decided to use monsters from Your Next Stamp. Aren’t they awesome? I cut them out by hand.

The background is made using Distress Oxide Ink. I then splashed water on it in rather big chunks which created a great contrasting effect. I added the coloured strip to the middle of the card and added the monsters on top so it looks like they’re stood up over the top of the card.

After I took the photos I used an alphabet die set and cut out the boy’s name in dark purple and put it underneath the happy birthday sentiment. The happy birthday sentiment is by My Favorite Things which I embossed in white. And the white dots? They’re candi by Craftwork Cards.

And from the side, where you can also see some of the doodling I did inside.

Molly with birthday cake

It is the first Tuesday of the month today. That means it’s Tiddly Tuesday and a new challenge. This time around we’d like to see you make projects using the lovely character Molly! I decided to use Molly Celebrates for this.

You know what’s funny? Because I use very little flowers on Christmas cards and have been so fond of making clean and simple cards of late, I was really stuck when I decided to add flowers. Slightly baffled by this I just sat down on the sofa to read for a while, and then when I got back and played with it, it seemed to go somewhat already. It felt rather weird just staring at the flowers and wondering what to do with them, though! haha.

The papers I’ve used on this card are all from Bazzill (plain) and Maja Design (patterned). I really do love this colour. I’ve, once again, painted the edges with white acrylic paint. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Live and Love Crafts (now closed), I coloured up some candi in matching purples and then used a sentiment by My Favourite Things (MFT Stamps) which I embossed with white.

Here is a close-up of the colouring. You can also see the die cut leaves, which are from a La-La Land Crafts die.

Copics used: (hair) E08, E18, E19, E49, E97, (skin) E00, E02, E04, E13, E15, (dress and shoes) BG70, BG72, BG75, BG78, C0, C3, C5 (cake) V12, V15, V17, Y19, E08, C0, C3 + white gel pen

Happy birthday, friend

Sometimes colouring is more fun than other times. I have been lucky and have had so much fun colouring this year, trying new combinations, trying new types of images and simply enjoying myself! I’ve lost count how many images I’ve coloured so far this year, which is a bit crazy, haha.

Today I will show one of my favourites so far this year, colouring wise. It is a Make it Crafty image. I played around with making a turquoise coloured dress which has a hint of yellow in it. Then I worked quite hard to try to make all the little details in the image show and I’m quite pleased how well that turned out. It was quite fiddly at times!

The background paper is from Paper Cellar, the gorgeous chipboard is also from Make it Crafty and I added the smaller text myself on printed paper.

Want a closer look at the chipboard? I coloured it with the same colours as the dress, and deliberately did it a bit darker.

Here is a close-up of the colouring as well, in case anybody wanted to look at that!

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E21, (white) C1, (hair) BV20, BV23, BV25, BV29, (yellow) Y04, YR15, (purple) V00, V06, V09, (dress) BG53, BG49, G40

Flowers for mum

Today is the day we celebrate Mother’s Day in Norway, so of course I had to make a Mother’s Day card! I decided to try something a bit different yet again, and decided to use the stamped image as a border and crop off it. The beautiful flower stamp is from Power Poppy.

I used some textured card stock on the left side of the card with a couple of card candi and then I just printed a sentiment I made on the right side in the bottom corner. It is a very simple card and I quite like how it turned out!
