Baby elephant’s first christmas

Oh! Christmas has been and gone, and so has the new years celebrations as well. I hope you all had a good, peaceful and creative couple of weeks, with of course far too much food and surrounded by family and friends. I guess I should get all my Christmas cards posted here. At this rate it will be summer before I know it.. heh.

This card is made with an adorable prec-coloured topper by Wild Rose Studio, leaves and snowflakes by Martha Stewart, lace, big pearl and flowers by Wild Orchid Crafts, some rhinestones, frantage for snow and distress ink.

Elephant magic

I made a Christmas card this morning and thought I’d, once again, get it added straight away. I have used a pre-coloured topper by Wild Rose Studio this time. I jazzed it up with putting glitter on top of the swirly magic, as well as adding some silver liquid pearls for an added snow effect. The flowers, purple ribbon and bows as well as the big purple pearls are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. The dark purple paper is from Kaboks, and the light purple paper used for the dies is by Lili of the Valley. The ribbon and pearly lace strip is from a local shop.  I have used various dies from Noor! design for the snowflake border and two stand alone snowflakes. They are such pretty dies!

I have decided to enter this is the design team call at Noor! design, so this bit here will be for that purpose. I am Liz and thirty-something living in Norway and I’ve been crafting since summer 2011, mostly making cards. When it comes to crafting, I mostly use my blog, but also I belong to various Facebook crafting groups and use instagram occasionally, though mostly for scenery photos I admit! Although I am on Twitter, I don’t use it very much. I have previous been on the DT team for a challenge blog, and for The Hobby House. Normally I don’t really try to apply for any design teams, but this one just felt right to apply for. One of the reasons is that I have been very pleased with swift and wonderful service provided by Noor! design, and the other is obviously that I love their designs. I mean, who wouldn’t?! I will be using these dies all the time and would love to show my work to fellow Noor! design fans. As I am not on any other DTs I would have the time required to dedicate to this one. I use both pre-coloured images and stamps I colour myself for my cards.

Here is a close up of the  Noor! design dies I used on this card:

Wintery wedding

Just finished packing for another trip. Flying off to Senegal in a couple of hours so squeezing in a quick update before I go!

A friend of mine asked me to make a wedding card. The wedding was yesterday, so I can now put it up here! As it is a winter wedding, I had to use snowflakes and a wintery green, while still making it look like a wedding card.

The topper and green pearls are from The Hobby House, the flowers, white pearls, thin ribbon and bow are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The thicker ribbon on the box is from The Ribbon Girl. The big snowflakes are made with a Martha Stewart puncher.

All the best to Paul and Lisa! 🙂

I’ve entered it into the Hobby House’s Special Christmas Event

Let it snow

I’ve been wanting to make a fairly plain and snowy looking Christmas card, so my last Christmas card of the year had to get that look! Blue was the obvious choice of colour to go with, but I braved added a splash of red to it as well! This is the first Christmas card post in a white that will only feature one card. That doesn’t mean I only made one though!
