LLLC: Deck the Halls

Ok, so I am a little bit late to the party this time. Life took a rather unexpected turn a couple of weeks ago leaving me in a bit of a daze and all projects were put on hold until I felt like doing anything with it. All my card making things were as they were on the table and the floor and although I had completed a few cards for the new release, I never got a chance to blog about them. Until now.

La-La Land Crafts had the most adorable Christmas release out this month. I love the hippos so much. Who doesn’t need Christmas hippos, right?! They have some cute other stamps, too, and I’ll show some of those in posts the coming days along with some really cool dies. Besides, we all know by now that I love Christmas, right?

James Bear with Snowman

Here is my second Christmas card for May. As the first one was a CAS card, I’ve made this one a layered one. I guess I should get started on my Christmas cards for June soon!

I’ve used another Lili of the Valley stamp for this. The papers are mostly Maja Design and the chipboard is from Make it Crafty.

LLLC – Hello Lovely Christmas card

Here is the second card I made using the Hello Lovely stamp set from the new release at La-La Land Crafts. I used the background stamp with two different blue Distress Oxide Ink pads. The white circular pattern worked perfectly as a snowy background!

This image is also coloured up with no-lines. (I’m on a roll with that now!) using Copic Markers. I also coloured up the trees and the lamp post.

LLLC Winter Scene

Time for another La-La Land Crafts project as it is Monday again already! Our theme this week is to create a scene so of course I had to make a winter scene! This also means that I am now done with my first Christmas card for April! Yey!

I decided to do no-lines again, this time on Winter Molli. I also coloured in the a tree die and the lamp-post die as I didn’t want them in solid colours, You can find a list of all the LLLC products below the photo. I’ve primarily used Maja Design and Bazzill paper, to which I added a bit of white acrylic paint to give the card more of a winter and snow feeling. I put Molli on foam tape and put her feet so that it looks like she is standing in front of the card with her feet on the table.

Here is a photo taken from the side.

James the bear is watching the snow fall

Here you can see the second Christmas card I made for March. This means I am still on track for two a month this year, phew! Barely made it with this one as well. I guess I will try to do better in April and start a bit earlier.  At least, I still had snow when I made this.. not sure I will manage to make anything once tempratures start realising summer is only a couple of months away! Oh well, I’ll try!

I went with a Lili of the Valley bear. This is possibly my very favourite bear and I love his different poses. His name is James, by the way, if you didn’t know. Lili of the Valley was one of the first stamp brands I started using, and even though they have stopped selling their rubber stamps, I still have mine from when I first got them in 2011! I’m glad they’re still doing digital stamps, as they’re great!

I’ve used Noor Design and Maja Design paper, a bit of acrylic paint and cheesecloth as well as Baker’s Twine, a Kort og Godt charm and some candi. Those are all high on my list of things I like to use to make Christmas cards.

Here is another photo where the card is laying down flat:
