Country pleasures

Oh my! I made it through again! My entry was together with twelve others chosen to go through to the 4th round in the summer challenges at Copic Marker Norge. I am proud to have made it this far. I wouldn’t have dared dreaming of it when I saw the entries in the first of the challenges. Yet here I am and I plan to make the most of it!

For this challenge we had to merge or mask two or more stamps together, as well as cut out another stamp. I have never tried to mask stamps together before, so a good challenge it was. Thankfully I have worked with graphics so when it was pointed out that it was ok to use digital stamps, the task became much easier for me. Besides, I felt the obvious choice for this would be Magnolia stamps. I mean, they’re prefect for this challenge. So of course I had to pick something else!

I decided to have a go at Meljen’s awesome images for this. Before masking the images together I contacted her to make sure it was indeed alright by her. The stamps I decided to use were Garden Fence Post, Little Girl Bear Hugs and Garden Bird House. The stamp I cut out and placed on foam pads in the front is also a Meljen’s Design one called Little Apple Tree. They were of course coloured in with copics.

The papers are from First Edition Papers, I punched out a lot of smaller flowers in pinks and yellows and punched out a bigger one to use behind the sentiment. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The frame inside the card is also from Meljen’s Design.

I have used the following copics (hopefully I didn’t forget to mention any!):

Fence, tree and bear: E42 and E44
Purple: V91, V93, V95 and V99
Hair: E08, E19 and E97
Sky: B000, B00
Greens: G40, G82 and G94
Flowers, Y04, Y08, Y17, YR04, RV02, RV24
Red: R24 and R29
Grey: C01
Skin: E50, E51, E53 and E93
+ a white pen

Each week I have watched the line of people get thinned out and with only thirteen contestants left I feel I am on borrowed time, lol. I want to take this opportunity to say how impressed I have been by the other entries and how much fun it has been learning new techniques and in the process getting better at colouring my own images. Thank you, it’s been such great fun! Best of luck to each one left in the challenge; you are all such inspiration!

This card has been entered into the following challenge:

Så flott kort. Og så går det jo flott ann å bruke andre motiv enn Magnolia 🙂
