Spring bunny

So it turned out I was right last week, when I predicted our lovely spring weather could be replaced by snow any day. We got 20 cm of snow last week, but it has already mostly melted. 13°C today is much higher than what is usual at this time of the year. It was ever so lovely though, hopefully more flowers than just the snowdrops will make their appearance over the next week. Let’s hope for no more random sudden temperature drops and snow. I love spring and I’m sure it’s easy to see where I’ve gotten the inspiration for today’s card from!

Peachy orange is a colour I don’t use much of, but I thought I’d give it a go anyway. The card blank is from a pack I bought when I was in London last. It contains about 50 blanks (I don’t quite remember) in the shades of pink, purple, orange, yellow, blue and green, with matching envelopes. As they were cheap I figured it wouldn’t hurt having a pack laying about! The papers I picked to go with are from one of my First Edition Paper pads, both the plaid looking one as well as the spotty orange one.

I picked one of my new stamps for this. The bunny on the swing is so adorable I couldn’t hold off purchasing it any longer! It is (again, of course) from Lili of the Valley. It was incredibly easy to colour in as well. As always, I used my copics to colour it in. I think it looks slightly too big for the card, though (the blank is smaller than what I normally use). Because of it being so large, I decided to not frame it, which I am still not sure whether was a good idea or not. The colouring turned out ok at least!

To jazz it up a little I added a plain yellow card with a bright orange ribbon over. There wasn’t really much space for a bow this time, so instead I added orange shaded flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. I love their flowers, really. So easy to use and with any kind of card! Below is the final result all done, as you can see the inside matches the front (apart from the flowers).
