Guest appearance and a tangled reindeer

This week I have the honour of being a guest at Digital Delights. As this has never happened to me I had no idea what to do, whatsoever, haha. Exciting, though! Thankfully they were nice and informed me of what to do and let me pick one of their stamps to make a card with. I only had a few days, so I didn’t have time to nip to the shop and top up my stash, but I managed to get two cards done before the post went up. Here is the first one. The second will be posted tomorrow.

I decided to make a step card, but add some snowflakes to the outer border. Glittery snowflakes, of course! The step card is a blank from Papermania. The stamp I picked is called Tangled Reindeer and is of course from Digital Delights. The sentiment is also made by them and says “be naughty and save santa the trip!“: it was perfect! Copics were, as always, used to colour in the image. For the reindeer I used E42 and E44 primarily. The darkest browns are E55 and E57, while the palest used on the face are E50 and E51. A lot of glitter glue was used as well: red around the edge of the front of the first step and silver around the image. The merry christmas sentiment was made by myself and most of the other bits on the card were bits in my stash left from last Christmas. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Here is a photo of the card side on. The colours of the pictures are paler than they should be, but oh well. Click the images to view them in a larger size.

You can check out my guest appearance here. Don’t forget to check out their digital images while you’re there!

Check back tomorrow for my second guest appearance card using the same image. Edit: the second post is now up, here.
