Dark skin

For a while now I have been wanting to try to colour in darker skin colours. Recently I decided to buy some new pens so I no longer had the option of procrastinating it due to a lack of materials. This card here is my first attempt at colouring a dark skin tone, and I am quite pleased how it turned out.

I decided to give the hair deep red highlights, rather than making it all black. Once I had the skin and hair coloured in I realised I wanted a lot of colour on the whole card, so decided on some very bright pink shades. It’s all be coloured in with copics. Thankfully I had matching papers laying about. I cannot recall where the papers are from, but I feel they were perfect for the card. The stamped image is a Krista Smith and Saturated Canary design called Springtime. All the flowers are, as always, from Wild Orchid Craft. The ribbon and pearls I had laying about. I made the sentiment myself.
