The best thing about today is that I haven’t got to open a single book. It is going to be a relaxing day with a spot of crafting! It’s been over a month since I last many anything, so I’m glad to finally fill the dining room table with my craft bits again! This card is for my other half’s brother who recently bought a house.
Obviously I wanted to make this card with a male theme. I recently bought the cute sofa carrying trio stamp at Lili of the Valley and it was perfect for this card. I decided to go with brown and turquoise coloured copics, with some cool greys for the rabbit and mouse. The background papers are from a Tim Holtz pad I love. As I had run out plain brown paper to use as framing layers, I decided to draw the border on instead. I am mostly surprised at how straight I got it as it was done by free hand. A brown ribbon with a bow and some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts were also a must. The flowers were included to add a little extra, but keeping the colours and flowers from getting too girly! Also, to fit the Lili’s Little Fairies challenge I should probably state that my favourite tool isn’t my big shot or anything like that. It is simply my plain paper-cutter. I have no idea what I would do without it!
