Shabby circles

This post is with a card I made a month ago, but I couldn’t post it here as it was for my sister. I had asked if she wanted anything specific and her request was that she wanted something entirely different to everything I had made before, with a vintage feel to it. After a lot of thinking, this is what I came up with. Happy birthday, lil sis.

What I decided on was to make a semi-circular card, a scalloped one at that. I have never made a semi-circular card before. I chose a stamp by Whimsy Stamps and coloured it in with Copics. The circle is distressed with a tea colour and put on top of a doily. The background papers are from Pion, the lace used for the bow from a local shop and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The greeting is on the back of the card. The oval and scalloped oval are from Spellbinders and the pearl drop trim is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

This card has been entered into the following challenges:

Wild Orchid Challenge – #55: Round in circles
Whimsy Stamps Challenges – #48: Punches and edgers
Allsorts – Week 164: Distressing

This card got me picked as their guest designer for next week’s challenge at Whimsy Stamps. How exciting!
