A couple of bookmarks

I have so many cards and projects to get done, so I escaped all of it by making myself a bookmark as I have no idea where the other ones are and this book I’m reading deserves a proper bookmark. I had quite a few stamps I coloured up while I had my demo at Hobbykunst, and they are perfect for bookmarks! I sent a quick text to closest family and then ended up making eleven bookmarks, so far… Here are the first two I made. The dies and stamps are all by MFT Stamps. The die set I used for the actual bookmarks is part of what I chose for my Superstar win and I absolutely love it!

This one is mine. I surprised myself by keeping the colours soft, and of course I had to have a hedgehog on it!

I so love this space stamp set. Isn’t it the cutest?!

Unfortunately I will not be listing the colours for these stamps, but to give you a general idea: the grey and black in the space one is all N markers and the brown and skin colour on the hedgehog are E70s and V90s.

LotV James bear and the blue cracker

Time for another card on my blog. I am so busy making cards and colouring at the moment that there is sometimes simply not enough time to blog as well! Yesterday, for example, I made three cards and eight bookmarks. I’ll calm down in the middle of November though, so I hope to post more regularly again then, and I do have a surprise at the start of November as well.

This card is made using my favourite bear, James. I figured it was time for a blue Christmas card, but kept it simple this time. I’ve combined it with one of the new sentiments also by Lili of the Vally.

Copics used: (blue) B32, B34, B37, B39, (bear) E41, E42, E43, E44, (grey) C0, C1, C3, (ground) N0, N1, N3, N5

Space fun

I spent the weekend at Hobbykunst Norge colouring up various My Favorite Things Stamps. I got to meet some great people interested in both the colouring and the stamps and I got a few stamps coloured up to add to my already rather large pile of coloured images! One of the stamp sets I coloured up was the astronaut and space themed set. And between my colouring sessions on Saturday and Sunday I managed to make it into a card, too. I decided to go with the MFT sketch of the week so I could enter it into their challenge.

The paper is by Studio Light and the rhinestone stars are by Rayher. You can obviously find all the products at Hobbykunst.

Here is a photo of the card laying down flat as well, and a little more close up.

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E02, E13, E15, (hair) E41, E42, E43, E44, (black) N3, N5, N7, N9, (blue) B01, B04, B06, (green star) G21, G40, G94, G99, (yellow) Y31, Y35, Y38, (green planet) YG93, YG97, YG99

MFT Stamps – Sketch Challenge #459

Nurse, another word for hero

A co-worker recently quit to start her life as a nurse in another part of the country. I simply had to have this stamp set from MFT Stamps for her good-bye card. Colouring white on white is always a challenge, and I wanted to do it in no-lines. I tried the fade-out ink from Inkon3 again, and it’s perfect.

Copics used: (face) E000, E00, E02, E13, E15, R20, R22, (hair) E41, E42, E43, E44, (white) N0, N1, N3, (green) G21, G40, G94, (grey) N5, (ground) W0, W1, W3, W5

The way you move

Last weekend I popped by Hobbykunst, one of the card making shops near where I live. This stamp, from Stamping Bella, is one of the few things that came back home with me. I will be back there next week to hold a demonstration on how to colour with Copic Marker, primarily on My Favorite Things stamps.

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E02, E13, E15, R20, R22, (green) YG01, YG13, YG17, YG67, (pink) RV63, RV66, RV69, (hair) E08, E18, E19, E49, E97, (grey) N0, N3
