Spellbinders another Dragon

I’ve made another card with the fun new  Spellbinders (this and following links are affiliate links) Dancin’ Dragon! Unlike the dragon on the previous card, this one isn’t actually dancing. He is still happy, though! When I die cut the parts for the dragon I did all the parts in a few different colours so I could put together more than one. It is such a great way to quickly make cards in the future, if you just have a ready-made dragon laying in wait!

The base of the card has its shape from the largest of the Make a Wish Arch Labels dies. I used the second biggest on the previous card, but here I wanted a fun shape.

I stamped up one of the Sealed Sentiments in a matching colour and then I put some enamel dots around as well to bring in the greens a bit more.

Spellbinders Monster Birthday

So I’ve been keeping a little secret! I’ve been asked to make a few cards with Spellbinders (this and following links are affiliate links) products and my first card is for the January release. Here I’ve used various products from the Monster Birthday collection. The dragon is a fun one, he’s dancing! It is only his head that is glued properly so the rest of his body is swinging back and forth. I’ll try to make a reel of it later this week and link to it here so you can see.

The balloon die is from the fun new birthday balloon set. I’ve also used one of the arches from Make a Wish Arch Labels.

Making a die cut only card is something I very rarely do, but it was a lot of fun and you can expect to see more fun dragons!

PFS Piggy Valentine

Time for some pencil colouring! I’ve used Caran d’Ache Luminance pencils on craft card stock. The stamp is from the set Friends Give the Best Hugs (this and all links affiliate links) from the most recent Picket Fence Studios release. And once again I’ve used a sentiment from the Surprise! It’s Your Day set. The card has been kept simple and the coloured and stamped panel is put on a white card base with a simple striped paper in between and some sequins on top.

LotV Fox

We’re down below -20 C today and, although it is very pretty outside, I’m happy I don’t have to go anywhere. I’ve used one of Lili of the Valley‘s adorable stamps from the Woodland Friends set for this card and cut it out by hand. For the background I’ve quickly ink blended a sunset and then used two different Mama Elephant cover dies on top of each other to create a little scene for my fox. With a layered die cut text and some sequins the birthday card was good to go!
