LLLC: Jaws Because CAS

This week I got to see loads of cards by the super talented Elin! She’s a master at clean and simple cards and I thought it is about time I make a card that is properly inspired by her. It was about time I made another clean and simple card anyway!

So, a cluster in a corner, loads of open space (although with waves and not white). I even used blue card stock for the base instead of white!

We’re still showing off the new La-La Land Crafts release. I decided to go with one of my favourites, the whale from the Jaws Because clear stamp set. The background is also made with one of the new stamps, the Seas the Day background stamp, which I used Memento Ink on in the Summer Sky colour.

Here is a photo straight from the front of the card.

And a photo of it laying down, with a close-up of the colouring and the cluster.

LLLC: Best Mate

There are clear stamps in this NEW RELEASE at La-La Land Crafts as well! Wooo! I think the three sets are super cute. Today I’m going to show you the one called Best Mates.

For this release I’ve tried to make a variation of cards, so there are some CAS, some layered, some shakers, some with transparent areas etc. For this one I decided on a reasonably clean and simple card.  I’ve used the My Anchor background stamp to make the strip on the side, and the other background stamp, Seas the Day to make the biggest sentiment. All the animals have matching hats and uniform!

I’ve coloured up all the stamps in the set, as you can see below, just to give you an idea of how they can look.

My Anchor background stamp
Seas the Day background stamp (bigger sentiment)

LLLC: Summer Dress Marci

For this post I’m going to show you the super sweet Summer Dress Marci. She is part of the fabulous NEW RELEASE at La-La Land Crafts. All the products I’ve used on my card are listed on the bottom of this post as well as which Copic Markers I’ve used to colour in Marci.

What I love about this new release is that it is perfect for my favourite colours! I’m talking blues and turquoise. I mean, what could possibly give me a better excuse to play with those colours than a maritime theme with focus on all things sea!?

Instead of using an actual charm, I’ve decided to hang the anchor on the twine, so it is dangling freely.  I’ve also used the My Anchor background stamp twice here, once where I used clear emboss and once with dark blue ink. Oh, btw, It is very easy to combine the ropes and knot dies, like I’ve done here, the ropes are also awesome to use as borders because the detail is great!

LLLC: Summer Dress Molli

So, I bet you know all about the NEW RELEASE at La-La Land Crafts by now! I’m going to show you quite a few more projects I’ve made today and tomorrow, also.

First up today is another shaker card. This time I’ve used tiny glass pearls in the shaker area, and kept it small. Summer Dress Molli has been coloured in with no-lines technique and copics as usual and I’ve used loads of the new dies from this release. You’ll find a list of everything at the bottom of the post, and of course direct links to the products!

As most my cards yesterday were blue, I decided to go with teal, green and yellow as the combination for this. I’m not sure I’ve ever used that combination previously, but I really do like it! The paper I’ve used is by Poppydesign, and I’ve used a sail boat charm which I added on thin rope.

LLLC: Seas the Day

For this NEW RELEASE at La-La Land Crafts there are two new background stamps. As you might already know, I really loved the ones from the last release, and guess what, I love these, too! They are pretty great and I love the effect you can from matching colours, or even just using a single coloured card stock where you just clear emboss it on. Loads of possibilities and I’ll be using them a lot!

For this card I’ve used two of the coordinating stamps that come with this background stamp: one of the boats and one of the sentiments. I’ve coloured the boat in with copics and then used my distress inks to make the sky and sea.
