4. Shabby floral card

It’s been a while since I had a card without colouring on it, so let’s have one of those today! I have printed out the number and name and used those as the focal points on the card.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the ribbon I purchased when I bought a dress a while back and the lace is from Live and Love Crafts.

Let us have another photo. Here you can see the flowers and ribbon from the side.

Cake? Did someone say cake?!

Maybe there’s been too many Christmas cards on my blog lately. I can assure you that there are plenty more to come at least. So why not break it up a little with a cake? A massively huge chocolate cake at that.

The image is by Mo’s Digital Pencil and to no one’s surprise it was coloured in with Copic markers. It ended up as yet another CAS card.

This is how the card looks when stood up, open.

Here it is laying down. I added the strip of paper with printed text just on the side inside the card so the inside part is slightly wider than the front is.

At a different angle as usual! And a little closer…

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, (hair) E08, E18, E19, E97, (white) W0, W1, W2, W3, W5, (ground) C1, C3, C5, (dress) V01, V04, V06, V09, (cake) V01, E43, E47, E49

Tall cake

I’ve been enjoying colouring up images by Mo’s Digital Pencil the past couple of weeks. This tall cake one I bought specifically to use for a couple of birthday cards I had coming up. Isn’t she the best?!

For the cake my sister insisted I needed to have some glitter. I used mostly transparent glitter, but with a bace layer of R00 and R12. As you can see from the colour list below, you don’t need to use a lot of Copics to colour up a pretty image and make it into a card. This time I stuck with just 2 colours for most of it, sometimes 3 if I was colouring up bigger areas. It was fun colouring up a lighter image again after the very bright contrast ones I’ve done in the past few blog posts!

I’ve used a fair few dies on this card: butterfly and leaf die by Precious Marieke, border die by La-La Land, alphabet die by Kaboks and gratulerer by Papirdesign. The flowers are as usual by Wild Orchid Crafts. And I used a bit of white acrylic paint around the edges of most elements.

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, (hair) E25, E29, E31, (clothes) W1, W3, YG01, YG03, YG67, (cake) E41, E43, R00, R12, Y13, YG16, (plate) C1, C3

CMN blog hop

It’s blog hop time! Copic Marker Norge is celebrating its sixth birthday this month and we’re having a blog hop to celebrate. Each DT blog will have a small prize that can be shipped world-wide, but the main prize on the CMN will only be shipped domestically. Still very much worth while for everybody to comment on the DT blogs! The prize on my blog will be a small goodie-bag of my favourite “stash” that I have yet to put together, hence no photo of it! For information on how to win the main prize, please see the CMN blog.

I went with a Tiddly Inks image for my card. This time I actually made the background first, with two different copic refills, and then coloured the image to match. It wasn’t easy getting the right shade of red for it though, but I got there in the end with many layers of colour. I decided to go with a dark hair colour to really set the contrast with the background. The image is cut out by hand and layered over a white strip with the sentiment I made to match.

Siv is the next in line! Be sure to pop by her and leave her a comment.

Watery birthday celebrations

Copic Marker Norge is celebrating its 6 years this month! This is the card I have made for the birthday celebration challenge. Pop over and celebrate with us!

I have used an Art by Mi Ran design by Whimsy Stamps, Coventina, and went for my favourite colours, a mix of turquoise and blue! I’m not sure I’ve actually used this colour combination on a card previously, but I should definitely use it more.

The sentiment is my own, and the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Live and Love Crafts. The bottom layer of the background papers was originally more grey-teal shaded, but I went over it with blue distress ink to get the colour I wanted for the card. The same distress ink was used around the edge of the image and the sentiment. The papers are from Panduro and Papermania and I did all the edges with a tool I got at Panduro. The dragonflies are my newest dies and they are by Magnolia. Aren’t they darling? The lace is from Live and Love Crafts, the ribbon from The Hobby House and the cheese cloth I bought at Bikuben.
