Hippo birthday (og nytt kurs)

It is time for me to prepare for my second cardmaking course in Oslo, and for that I’ve used a card I made in 2018 as inspiration. I absolutely love this effect from distress oxides combined with the adorable stamps from MFT Stamps. It was so much fun doing the first one and I’m looking forward to the next already.

LotV Stargazing

Today I’m here to show my first make of the year for the Lili of the Valley DT. It’s a Christmas card I made last minute and I used the image I coloured up for a video you can find here. I simply framed it with a few layers of plain card stock and used a chipboard sentiment from the now closed Make It Crafty along with a sentiment I printed to match.

Copics used: (green) G21, G94, G99, (red) R22, R24, R29, R89, (elephant) N0, N1, N3, N5, R30, R32, (blue) B12, B32, B34, B37, (yellow) Y13, Y17, (ground) N0, N1, N3

LotV baby girl

Does it seem like I’ve made a lot of baby cards as of late? Well, I have! And I still haven’t shared them all on here, so you’ll be seeing a few more. As usual it is the Lili of the Valley images that I love most for these cards, so that is what I’ve used here too. This card was also made on request. It was to be cute, pink and reasonably simple.

I’ve used paper from MFT Stamps, dies from La-La Land Crafts and Linda Mønstre Design as well as chipboard from Make it Crafty.

Copics used: N0, N1, N3, R81, R83, R85, Y11, Y13, Y08

LotV Musical Elephant

I had a fun request for a card. It was to go to a lady who plays the blues and loves elephants and travelling. I knew exactly what stamp I wanted to use! One of the first stamps I purchased is an elephant blowing bubbles by Lili of the Valley. I don’t think it exists in rubber anymore, but it is available in digi here! I inked up the stamp, apart from the upper bubbles, and drew in musical notes instead and voila I felt I had two of the themes covered.

To add a few more bits of the requested themes I used background paper with subtle musical notes as well as an air plane and a musical note charm.

Copics used: (elephant) N0, N1, N3, E25, R20, R22, (flowers) R27, G94 (notes) B91, B95, (ground) E0000, E21
