Disco power

A week or two ago, I was sat looking at my craft stuff, unable to decide what to make. So, I asked my boyfriend to pick some colours, and he did… Purple, orange and green. Orange. I don’t like orange. I don’t know why, but I tend to do my best to avoid this colour when crafting. But, I decided to go all out and use a bright orange. In addition he gave me the theme of ‘disco‘. To be honest I felt at a complete loss, but soon I started coming up with ideas and this is the result of it. Turns out I actually really quite like it!

The paper are from Panduro, Papermania and Paper Cellar. The pre-coloured topper is by The Hobby House. I have used card candy by Craftwork Cards and flowers by Wild Orchid Crafts. The circles are made with Spellbinder dies and the leaves with a Martha Stewart puncher.

There has been far too many pink cards as of late, hasn’t it? Time to mix it up with another colour. Blue, green and brown for a change. I made this card on order a couple of months ago.

The paper is from Pion, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the ribbon is from The Hobby House. I have used a Martha Stewart puncher for the leaves and spellbinder dies for the ovals. I don’t remember where the rhinestones are from…

I also made a matching box for the card, but I decided to make it more blue than green. As I used blue flowers on the card, I decided on white and green ones for the box. I only decorated the lid of the box. Here it is:

Baby birthday

There is no challenge this month at The Hobby House. We do, however, still add inspirational pieces and I have made this one using one of the new toppers in The Hobby House collection. Apart from the topper, I have also used pearls, ribbon and flowers from The Hobby House. The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat.

Mid-spring

Last day of April. We’ve had some absolutely lovely days lately, but yesterday the harsh reminder that we live in Norway and not by the Mediterranian hit hard. It was freezing! Hopefully May will bring more summer!

Today I have a card made with a Craftwork Cards card blank, card from First Edition Paper. A Papermania doily, a pre-coloured image by Lili of the Valley. I’ve had the rhinestones for so long I don’t remember where I got them from, but the ribbon is from a local shop and all the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
