PFS New Release and a Merry Good Gnome

It is new release day at Picket Fence Studios (this and all links in this post are affiliate links)! I’ve had fun playing with it and opted for blues for my first card this time. I’ve coloured up the Merry Good Gnome and used the matching die to cut him out. Then I popped some foam tape on his pack and put him aside while I was playing.

First I inked up the background in two shades of blue. I stuck with the bottom right side of the card and deliberately made the edges look rough and bold before I used the Paper Glaze Snowdrop White on the snowflakes from the Fancy Christmas Tree blending stencil. While that was drying I cut out two of the Slim Line Giant Christmas Trees. I cut them to different heights and placed them onto the card before gluing the gnome on top. The Animal Crackers A Penguin Christmas has some nice and small sentiments so I used one of those, and the matching die, for a small sentiment in the bottom right hand corner. At the end I placed three shiny snowflakes from Santa’s Cookies sequins mix plus.

You can see that the snowflakes from the sequin mix have a completely different look when the light hits differently. Here they are much more subtle. Loving it!

And a little close-up! See the cool shiny snowflake?

Mo’s Shop Tot

I have another Christmas card made. In fact, I think I’m going to try to make a Christmas card a week until Christmas. Anybody else up for trying the same? I’ve used the adorable Shop Tot by Mo’s Digital Pencil for this week’s Mo-make.

The background is made by running a stencil through my die cutting machine to emboss the paper. The stencil is by PFS and is called Snowball Fight (aff link). I’ve also used their connected circles for the frame. This is all raised with foam to make the coloured panel stay behind. A few snowflakes, a Make It Crafty chipboard and a Simon Says Stamp sentiment.

POD Flannel the Raccoon

I love making Christmas cards and the Purple Onion Designs stamps are perfect for it! Here you can see Flannel the Raccoon. He is pulling his sled with two big gifts on. I wonder what’s inside. I love a good winter scene for my Christmas cards so I used one of the Snowy Trees and stamped it up three times. The sentiment is from the Snow Much Fun sentiment set.

POD Sweet Snow Friends

I love a good snowman stamp and this one is being hugged by his bunny and penguin friends. The stamp, by Purple Onion Designs, is called Sweet Snow Friends. How adorable is that? I love colouring it up, and this time I die cut the panel and put it off-centre on a dark green piece of background paper. The sentiment is a mix of a Gummiapan die cut (a few of them glued together for dimension) and a Mathia Design text stamp. A few Altenew dots to bring in the peach colour of the the colouring finished off the look.

POD Rupert

I love making Christmas cards and try to make them all year around. Then, if something happens that prevent me from making loads in November and December, I will still have a fair few to send out at Christmas. So, needless to say, I’ve already made a start on this year’s cards already! Here is Rupert, he is making a snowman. I have paired him with the large mountains stamp, both from the Stacey Yacula collection over at Purple Onion Designs. I do love winter themed Christmas cards!
