Christmas hedgehogs

I made this card for the December issue of a Norwegian card making and scrapbooking magazine called Ett Trykk. I used the super-cute hedgehogs from MFT Stamps along with some distress inks and Make it Crafty chipboard. It had to be blue, of course, as I love making blue winter/Christmas cards.

Here is another view of the front of the card

And this little dude appears in the corner on the inside of the card.

Copics used: E70, E71, E74, E77, E79, C1, C3, C5, E41, E42, E43, R20, R22, B91, B95, B97

James Bear with Christmas cracker

It’s been a lot of clean and simple Christmas cards this year, and by a lot I mean that most of them have been CAS! So, I decided it was time for something different and proper traditional colours. It is my turn to show off something in the Christmas Calendar over at Copic Marker Norge today, and this is what I decided to make. It is perfectly reasonable to decided to make something with loads of layers that takes longer than CAS does when you have hardly any time at all, right?

Anyway, I used this adorable stamp from Lili of the Valley. I have a feeling I’ll colour it up again before Christmas, if I can only decide on which colour to use for it! I combined it with lace I got from Live and Love Crafts, Papirdesign paper and sentiment. Then I used some acrylic paint around the edges of the layers and some twine along with a gingerbread charm. And it’s obviously coloured up with Copics as usual. You can find the colours listed at the bottom of this post.

Here is a photo from the side you can see how the card is stood on a surface.

And another photo of the card laying down.

Friday means it’s time for another La-La Land Crafts project. Our theme of the week is non-traditional Christmas colours. For me, pink is pretty much as far as you get from traditional, so that’s the colour I had to use. I combined it with cream and white and made a layered card. Mostly because I don’t do those too often these days!

LLLC: Deck the Palms

My third and final card for the most recent La-La Land Crafts release this time around. I’ve used the fun Australian kind of Santa for this one, and I’ve made a pocket for a tag, which could also be used for a gift card. Both the tag and pockets are really great and I will be using those a fair bit, for sure! It’s also fun to make a completely different type of Christmas card, quite far away from the winter themed ones I usually make!

In this second photo I’ve taken out the tag and put it next to the card so you can see it clearly. The pocket could be used for a gift certificate as well, if you prefer.

LLLC: Cozy Christmas

Second day of the release week at La-La Land Crafts and today I wanted to show you this awesome moose. I’ve named him Chris, because… you know… Chris Moose. Yup, my humour is terrible and I don’t care! Anyway, back to the card at hand! I’ve used lots of the new goodies and they’re all linked below. This time I went for a cold winter themed card and the snowflakes stencil is just perfect for it! You need to have it, really!
