A wee winter fairy for Christmas

Today is my second day on the Copic Marker Norge blog this month for our advent calendar. You don’t need the most typical Christmas stamps to make Christmas cards. This, for example, gets most of its Christmas feel through the colours I’ve used on the papers. The cute stamp is by Wee Stamps / Whimsy Stamps and I’ve used various papers from Maja Design. I’ve used a text stamp by Norsk Stempelblad and ribbon bought at Panduro. The card shame is made with dies from Go Kreate and I’ve edged the pieces with white acrylic paint.

Here is a close-up photo of the colouring. I wanted to show you how the wings, ear muffs and snow looks. To get that effect I simply played around with various light coloured markers, but with a bit extra focus on blue, until I got it how I wanted.

Copics used: (skin) E0000, E00, E02, E13, E15, (hair) E08, E18, E19, E49, E97, (green) BG90, BG93, BG96, BG99, (brown) E70, E71, E74, E77, (red) R22, R24, R27, R89, (shimmer) B00, B02, YR31, V000, N1

LotV James bear watching the snow

I’ve signed up for a couple of Christmas card swaps and this is one of the cards I made. I used one of my favourite bear stamps, by Lili of the Valley, my favourite Maja Design papers along with my favourite lace. Can you spot a theme going here? I edged the outer papers with white acrylic paint to give the card even more of a wintery feel.

Copics used: E41, E42, E43, E44, N0, N1, N3 and the blues I don’t remember.. maybe it was the B30s..

Flowers for you

A non-Christmas card today. Opted for various pink hues and letting the coloured image (stamp by Power Poppy) take all the focus on this layered card. I used a little bit of lace and ribbon, made my own sentiment and stuck with one patterned paper and a light grey card base.

I coloured this up for the colouring challenge in June, and I don’t remember where I wrote down the colours… The vase should be various N, though…

Bitty bear gift tags

Already 10th of December and still keeping up with making a new blog post each day this month. Today I wanted to show two simple gift tags. I’ve used the super cute Bitty Bears from MFT Stamps, which I cut out by hand, along with Maja Design paper and a La-La Land Crafts tag die. Add some twine and text and voila!

The red one is made with a text stamp from Huldra Designstudio.

For the blue one I’ve used a text stamp from the Bitty Bears stamp set.

Copics used: E41, E42, E43, E44, R22, R24, R27, R89, V91, V93, N1, N3

Make It Crafty elf

Once again Copic Marker Norge is having an advent calendar and today is my day to show a card. I decided to take the opportunity to thank Zoe of Make It Crafty for her wonderful contribution to the crafting community. Her fab colouring, great shop with fab stamps and of course my favourite chipboard is worth mentioning now that she has decided to close the shop down at the end of this week. I will make sure I get some shopping done at the weekend, for sure, while I still can! Thank you, Zoe, for all the inspiration!

I’ve used this Make It Crafty stamp and chipboard together with some Maja Design paper, some new lace I found on Ebay a couple of months ago and finally got around to using, and ribbon from… I think it’s from the Hobby House, actually, and that I’ve had it forever.
