Cupcake mouse

Here is the blog post for the card I made using the colouring from the video I posted earlier this week. You can find the video here.

I’ve used a stripe from one of the papers in one of MFT Stamps paper pads, the mouse and cupcake stamp are also MFT. Then I’ve die cut a number 3 (also MFT) and coloured it up in a matching green colour before die cutting a happy, embossing a birthday and sing three different types of washi tape to make a fun background for the sentiment area. I’ve also drawn a whimsical border in around the coloured panel. All in all, a fun card to make! I enjoyed making a different kind of card when using kraft and coloured pencils for a change.

Colouring video: MFT Mice Day to celebrate

There is a new colouring video up on my YouTube channel today and this time I’ve used my Prismacolor pencils to colour up this mouse and cupcake stamp from MFT Stamps called Mice Day to Celebrate. You can see how I’ve coloured up the entire stamp. As usual I’ve used kraft cardstock to colour on. You can see the finished card below, it’ll get its own post as well.

Once again the video is without audio.

If you’d rather watch the video directly on YouTube, please click here.

These are the pencils I’ve used: Warm Grey: 1054, 1052, 1051, 1050, Red: 1078, 924, 923, 1030, Brown: 946, 945 Pink: 1078, 195, 994, 993, 1014, Grey: 1072, 1070, 1068, Green: 908, 109, 912, 989, Yellow: 1003, 914, White: 938

Feeding the birds with a dash of red

I’ve, once again, used the Feeding the Birds stamp from Mo’s Digital Pencil. This time I’ve cut it out by hand and used only very few colours. The card is made with items from various companies. The background stamp is by Simon Says Stamp, inked with Distress Oxide, the polaroid frame die is by MFT Stamps and the snowflakes by Hello Bluebird. A simple sentiment by Mama Elephant and some red and white baker’s twine finished off the card.

Penguin with snowball

Time for another Christmas card, and once again it’s a rather blue one! I’ve used distress oxide on a background stamp from Simon Says Stamp together with dies from MFT Stamps (frame) and Papirdesign (sentiment). The stamp, by Whimsy Stamps, is coloured up with Copics and a few blue sequins finished off the look.

Make a wish

Time for another card with pencil colouring! I actually coloured this one up as one of my first pencil colourings back in May last year and it’s taken until now for it to make its way onto a card. The stamp is from Purple Onion Designs and I use Prismacolor Premier pencils.

The card itself is simple. I’ve cut the panel a little narrow to fit a stripe of coloured cardstock down the side. I’ve drawn in a border around the edges of the coloured panel as well. The sentiment is a combination of a stamp from MFT Stamps and one of their dies which I’ve cut short so it only says “wish”. I had the perfect amount of light blue enamel dots from Altenew left, so they got to hang out around the sentiment as well.
