Mermaid; photo inspiration challenge

It’s the middle of May already! How did that happen?! hmm.. Oh well, it does mean it’s time for another challenge at Copic Marker Norge, and this time we have a photo inspiration challenge.

This is the card I made. I decided on a mermaid to represent the ocean and then I tried to mostly stick to the colours used on the inspirational photo. The image I used is by Ching-Chou Kuik and one of the very first mermaids I’ve ever coloured! Various other bits are by Papermania, Wild Orchid Crafts and Martha Stewart. The image is obviously coloured with Copics.

Here is another view of the card:

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, R20, R22, (blue-green) BG05, B000, BG70, BG72, BG75, BG78, G29, (pink) R39, R81, R83, R85, R89, (leaves) YG01, YG67, YG99, (background) R81, RV000, B000, B81

Baby girl

I was asked to make a card for a christening. I’d previously made one for this lady so wanted to make this one similar. To the right here you can see the boy card I made previous that this one is made to match.

The image I’ve chosen is by Mo’s Digital Pencil and is coloured in with copics. Flowers are by Wild Orchid Crafts and Live and Love Crafts, and the lace is from LLC as well. I am pleased with how the cards are reasonably similar, but yet a little bit different. I’ve deliberately hidden the name as I don’t like names of people showing on my cards in case they don’t want it displayed.

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, R20, (hair) E51, E53, E55, E57, (dress) C1, C3, C5, RV00, R81, R83

Owl you

Guess what I did at the weekend! I finally took the first two out of the series to become a copic colouring master. The course was held at Bikuben with Elizabeth as our fantastic instructor. It was fun to get some new tips and see some of her colouring in person. She’s great, really! Cannot wait for the next two courses in May where there more advanced techniques that I know little to nothing about.

Today we have a new challenge over at the Copic Marker Norge blog. This time we’re playing bingo! If you count the flowers and feathers on the image itself then I’ve covered all the squares of the bingo card giving me a full house. Yey!

The papers I’ve used are Pion, the sentiment Lili of the Valley, the image (which is obviously coloured with copics) is by Ching-Chou Kuik. I am so happy with how that turned out. One of my favourites, actually, I think. Not often I am this happy with an image the first time I colour it! Oh, the cute little butterflies are from Noor Design.

Copics used are: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, R20, R22, (hair) E53, E555, E57, (flowers) R81, R85, RV17, R89, G82, G99, YG03, (owl) W2, W3, W5, E55, E57, (background) B0000, B000, B00, B02

Zoe Party Girl

There are various reasons why I’ve not been very good at updating the blog very often for the majorty of the year so far. I am hoping it will change soon.

Here is the card I made for the most recent challenge at Copic Marker Norge. This month’s theme is bingo. I made three different lines: 1) Cheesecloth – Text – Flowers, 2) Lace – Flowers – Stitching, 3) Buttons – Text – Stitching.

The image I decided to use is a brand new addition to my collection and my first Make It Crafty image. She is called Zoe Party Girl. As always she is coloured in with Copic Markers.

Papers are by Panduro and Lili of the Valley, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Live and Love Crafts, the cheesecloth is purchased at Bikuben, and the lace is from Live and Love Crafts as well

Flower Ballerina

I am a little slow adding my post for the newest Copic Marker Norge challenge. That is what happens when you finish it last-minute before you head off on a short holiday, and don’t have the time or the connection to blog while away! Anyway, the latest challenge theme is Ribbon and/or Lace.

The card I’ve made for this challenge I made for my cousin’s confirmation. It’s a fairly big thing here and in Norway. As my cousin really quite likes my cards I had to try something different. What I ended up with was choosing to try to colour one of Aurora Wings‘ images while I’ve had laying about for a while, Flower Ballerina. It has merely been too daunting trying to colour it as I was worried it wouldn’t look very good at all. I’m glad I did try as I’m rather pleased with how it turned out. Now I cannot wait to colour it again!

As usual the image was coloured in using Copic Markers. I used paper from Papermania and plain card which I painted with white acrylic paint around the edges. I used a bunch of flowers and the ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts, some flowers and lace from Live and Love Crafts. The puncher is by Martha Stewart and the cheesecloth I purchased at Bikuben. All the small silvery dots around the image was added using liquid pearls by Ranger.
