Another non-Christmassy card today. I have lots more Christmas cards to show, but it’s good to break it up a little bit and add something else. Today I am showin a card made with one of my favourite Saturated Canary images. I have coloured it in with Copics. The patterned background paper is from a Papermania pad, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts as is the darker purple ribbon and bow. Unfortunately I cannot remember what the two emboss folders I used are called. The leaves are, as always, made with a Martha Stewart puncher.

Christmas is coming, fast!
A week into December already! I have spent my spare time crafting rather than blogging so far as there hasn’t been a whole lot of it. The Christmas cards are finally well under way! I have been making mostly traditional looking ones, but I have made the odd one using what I find to be somewhat unusual colours or colour combinations for Christmas cards. I thought I’d start with showing off one of those. To get them all shown before Christmas I will try to post one a day.
The card topper is by The Hobby House, and I’ve added some snow using dewdrops. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves are made with a Martha Stewart puncher. The ribbon and doily are both Papermania.
Florista
Pre-coloured toppers are fantastic! They are so easy to use and helps make a card a lot faster because there is no colouring involved! The adorable one is by Sylvia Zet at The Hobby House. It was easy to pick colours to go with for sure. The papers are from Papermania and Tim Holtz. The lace is from a local shop and the ribbon, bow and flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. The small buttons are card candi from Craftwork Cards, the spirals are by Kort og Godt and the sentiment is by Lili of the Valley and inked with Memento. The leaves are, as usual, made with a Martha Stewart puncher.

You and I
I have an essay due tomorrow, so rather than write it I figured I would make a card! Inspiration generally comes flowing when you have other far more important stuff that needs to be done. It worked like a dream! This card took no time at all to make and I am quite pleased how it turned out.
The papers are from Papermania. When I was on holiday I was set on not purchasing anymore paper as I really do not need anymore of it. That plan lasted until I spotted this gorgeous paper pad! The adorable pre-coloured image is from The Hobby House. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts along with the lilac ribbon and bow. The lace is from a local, the sentiment stamp from Lili of the Valley. I reckon the doily might also be Papermania, while the cute little buttons on the side are card candy from Craftwork Cards. The leaves are made using a Martha Stewart puncher.

Eiffel in love in Paris
This week at Paper Playtime, we’d like you to use a pun. I had quite a few puns I was considering, but in the end I settled for ‘Eiffel in love in Paris’. I decided to use this super cute pre-coloured Sylvia Zet image which is available at the Hobby House. As it is a predominately purple and orange image I made the sentiment in these colours. The papers are plain card stock in white and purple, a purple star patterned paper I’ve had since who-knows-when and an orange plaid patterned paper from a First Edition Paper pad.
I have also used spellbinder dies as well as two Martha Stewart punchers to make the leaves and the butterfly. The butterfly punch was purchased only a few days beforehand and I have already made tons of random butterflies just because they are so pretty, heh. The purple ribbon, bow and all the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the white ribbon might be a papermania one. I will look and update the post when I’m back home from my holiday. It turns out it is not by papermania; it only has the word ‘Celebrate’ on the front. I do, however, recall that I bought it in Range in the UK.
